The goal before half-time was a killer, if we'd been 2-0 up at half-time then we would have probably won the game.
It was a really sloppy goal, Richardson should have seen the danger and stood in front of the thrower to delay the quick throw - that would have killed the opportunity stone dead and been worth a booking.
Hoolihan knew he had the beating of Llera on the ground and I guess Llera had to work out if he wanted to cop a red card if he had brought him down.
Norwich City could find themselves in trouble with the FA after a half-time tunnel bust-up on Saturday.
Players from both sides clashed as the first half of an absorbing 2-2 draw came to a controversial close, with referee Steve Tanner certain to mention the incidents in his match report to the game's governing body.
It was sparked by the official's decision not to book visiting skipper Nicky Bailey for kicking out at Grant Holt, just a minute after City had pulled it back to 2-1. When the half-time whistle blew moments later, City boss Paul Lambert waited at the touchline to confront the referee and it appears the players carried on the argument out of sight of most of the spectators.
Asked for his account of the incident in the tunnel, Lambert said: “I never saw it.”
It was an incident-packed afternoon at Carrow Road, with City coming from 2-0 down against the morning leaders and snatching a point deep into injury-time thanks to a controversial goal by Grant Holt.
While City celebrated, stewards had to keep a group of visiting Charlton supporters from confronting home fans in the Jarrold Stand.
The draw knocked Charlton off the top of the table, but left Canaries boss Paul Lambert delighted.
“Today's performance I thought at times was colossal,” he said.

Was it my imagination, I thought I saw Holt having a go at Bailey just before Bailey kicked him?

Thought Llera turned his back on the ball and got caught out for it.
I think the problem was that Llera and Dailly both went for the ball out wide to deal with it, which gave Holt an easy throw-in to put Hoolahan through on goal. I can't recall where Richardson was.

True, he was at fault too, but the idea should be to prevent the quick throw in from taking place in the first place. Llera was always going to get done by Hoolihan for pace anyway.
We just seemed to swtch off completely and paid a heavy price, it was the sort of goal that you would not see conceded in the Prem.

not the same but did you see the two goals Pompey conceded ? Absolutely comical defending, definately not PL standard but still happened. And England regular Ferdinand wasn't a lot better yesterday nor Micah Richards.
Hoolihan fouled Bailey who then kicked him Beckham '98 style when he was on the floor. He should of got a booking for it at least, poor decision by the ref.
We were cruising until they got one back with the quick throw. I wonder what affect it had on the half time team talk as all we did in the second half was try and defend a one goal lead, instead of playing like we did at the start. Very frustrating.
Report in the Observer said the quality ofthe play was mid to upper Championship and if both teams had played anything like that last season they wouldn't have gone down. Btw a good item on Jonjo in their Monthly Sport Magazine.
Am quite pleased with this point. It's a real tricky time to play Norwich, and in some ways when they settle under Lambert they could just be a bit more predictable in their pattern of play. With their crowd rocking and players proving themselves they had an energy and drive that perhaps they might not have in a few months time. Thought Holt's challenge was totally fair on Elliot. Elliot charged whereas Holt was nearer to the ball and going for it. Just because a goalie runs in to attack the ball and then clashes with an attacker in no way means the contact was illegal.
As for Elliot I'm not bothered about his mistake, all across the pitch in the Pardew era I wanted players to step up and force issues that's what he was doing against a deflected cross in the final minutes. Good luck to him, solid keeping against crosses is one of the defining skills of a keeper that sets apart average from good ones; and unlike James he appears to know when rushing out is important and at least in this young stage of his career he is on top of danger not haring out to wingers on the corner flag. As for his shot stopping it is quite remarkable atm.
As good as our midfield is I still feel we miss some drive. Something that Bailey could offer if moved inside. But having said that the five at the moment are the best use of our resources. Sam should not be started on the left at any time, for a ten minute period in game fair enough. He has a tendency to be narow anyway but on the right can go wide excellently a la the second goal on sat, on the left he will be ridiculously narrow. Sam is one of the most important players in the first 11, he should not be messed around with as Pardew and Parky did last season.
[cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]Good shot of Large (off-white cap, arms folded and replica shirt) to the right of the picture third row back sitting next to Golfie.
On the player ratings ..... Youga's getting good solid 7's from nearly everyone now.
Really pleased for the lad, he'd grafted well enough in the first couple of matches but still looked all at sea,
But on the back of this unbeaten run, his confidence and self belief is returning - and reflected in his performances.
