[cite]Posted By: kimbo[/cite]Very good news, seems totally committed and passionate. Only downside is the fact he must be colour blind - why else would he choose to play in hideous orange shirt?
I was assuming it was a psychological ploy to encourage him to keep the weight off. Orange is not a good colour for the more rotund of us, unless you don't mind resembling a citrus fruit.
I seem to recall reading an article in which Llera's twin, that Chelsea goalie, stated that it was an advantage to wear orange as it makes them look larger and put a bit of a psychological edge over the opposing strikers, so why not Elliott!
[cite]Posted By: Latimer[/cite]Brilliant news, he is still learning his trade but as we know CAFC through and through what a thrill it must be for him to gee up the fans, strawberry blonde your having a laugh!!!! (Hartlepool chant!)
Good news, do we have a specialist goal keeping coach, to work with Robbie and Darren?

only just seen this great news local lad loves the club makes better saves than deano distribution much better and goalies get better as they mature, Rob i hope you stay with us forever tbh
think hes got a way to go to match deano even if RE's distrubution is better.
Deano did it in the top flight year after year but he had the benefit of playing 100s of games for york and bury in the lower leagues in the same way as robbie is now and did at Accrington.
It's when goalies come out when there is little goal threat. Elliot is coming out, getting close to the ball at times when there is definite goal threat. Shows his natural instinct for weighing up situations is spot on and as he matures hopefully he'll back himself more and be assured more; unlike say a James who'll run madly out when a forward is running towards the corner flag.
Can't say I saw him make any crucial mistakes last season. When a defence melts away and surrenders possesion inside and around the box, shots and goal opportunities are irregular and very difficult to save. This season the defence is putting pressure on in the right areas and the midfield is benefiting from better positioning that came over from last season. Even when so many mistakes occurred in front of him last season Elliot didn't lose his temprement. Whereas Randolph is a classic example of ranting and raving after mistakes, often his own, what good does this do to a team lacking in talent???? Elliot's temprement is going to allow him to grow into much the better player than Randolph.
At least he is trying to command his box. from what i have seen of randolph he can make a worldy save but is capable of a real howler (he made a couple for hereford and bury). credit to elliot as he was 3rd choice two years ago and if it was not for weavers red card, he could have been released!

Yes, Andy Woodman.
