Many players with a point to prove. Parky will get a fire in the bellies. We should have too much quality especially at home
Key man is the fella who got changed in a telephone box last season - Kelvin Davis. If he has an off day I'm thinking 4 or 5 nil but I expect Saints will be bang up for this one.
Absolutely no doubt an easy 3-1 min. Dont know what your all worried for. So what pardew is coming back , even more reason to vote us to win. Look how shite he was last time he was here.. Do you all think he's turned into some managment god all of a sudden. This will all be about him he will actually forget he even brought a team with him, so lets not worry to much .
2-1 win. We've got quality in a team that's gelled and is high on confidence and Soton have got some good players who won't be used to playing together and erm.....Pardew. Some concerns about Racon and Bailey, so going for a modest win.
Reckon we'll spank them out of sight. Would be great to get five or six without reply and send that twat off home with his tail firmly between his legs.
[cite]Posted By: Ketman[/cite]I wonder how many people on here will be covering themselves with a bet on an away win to soften the blow of defeat...shame on you all :-)

been thinking the same thing for the last couple of days
"On paper I think us and Charlton match up,"
I'll have some of what Perrys having!!
Granted it's going to be a tough match, but we're a better side than them on paper.. a selection of our players can make it at high Championship level, not sure any of theres can right now...

As long as I don't get a bit of Pardoo i'll go with the flow. I reckon Perrys going to struggle even to keep up with the likes of Burton, Bailey.. let alone Jonjo, Sam etc. when on the attack.
I thinks this is going to be really tough, it just feels like its set up perfectly for them to come out on top. I'm hoping that Parkinson is keen to show Pardew who's the better manger and so pull this one out of the bag to get one over him. So all in all, a draw it is then! Regarding the players, I have great faith in this squad and feel that whoever comes in will do a job to the best of their ability (which is all you can ask).
My head tells me we should have the too much quality and form to lose this one. Experience tells me otherwise though... 0-1 with them hanging on for at least the last half hour :-(
Guide suggests Soton fans drink in the Lib club before the game. I doubt that that will be made very welcome their.
On one of their forums people were asking where everyone was drinking before the game and one poster said ' am sure we will get a warm welcome in the liberal Club....'

Jaidi would, as would Kelv - Lambert was wanted by Boro but they had to sell to buy.
There 3 of our players who could make it at a high championship level.
Although I have gone for a conservative 2-0 prediction, I really do think this could be another West Ham type rout, don't know why, just got that feeling.
4-0, 5-0, or might just give them a consolation goal at the end!

Pards will do a sarcastic wave to the crowd too

Different scorers, same score...! Ideally with one of their midfielders ending up in goal again.
To be honest i dont care about pardew best way 2 answer him is to send them back to the south cost with f--k all.
Really surprised he said "we're no great shakes". Very un-Perry like

Soton fans site thinks a draw is the minimum they should expect mainly on the basis that that have spent more money and we have to lose sometime.

Big losses if they don't play. Not sure of Bassey, Wagstaff and Spring I would least prefer

But we are playing better, we are scoring and we are not conceding.
We could lose this game or any game but on form we should win.

massive blow if Racon is out IMO
Bailey not quite so bcos I don't think he gets to really influence the game from his position on the left
Racon and Semedo are the key men from what I've seen the last few games
