oh yes, have really enjoyed watching Parky's new team thus far and long may it continue. We surely have a squad strong enough now to keep us flying high.
Yeah i dont think we would ever (well until after the takeover) have been able to replace our midfield, it would have been such a shame to break that up. Now unbeaten till January and you'll see what a good move it was not to sell them

Yep, agreed - Hopefully Sodje will give us a little bit more cover in defence as well now.

Have to agree that our midfield has won all it's battles this year and have been the main reason that we are outclassing the opposition. The possesion football that they are playing is so easy on the eye. Let's hope they all stay injury free and continue to play with the confidence that seems to be growing game by game. The balance of the squad is good and the defence look well organised. McKenzie added to hopefully fire a few goals up front, so all looks rosie through my tinted glasses.
Definately a massive well done to the Board for keeping them all, can't have been easy and we are all quick to critisice when we feel they make mistakes so credit where it is due. Let's hope we can stay injury free and we should be ok.
One of those transfer deadlines were I was dreading a last minute announcement harking back to the Danny Murphy transfer. We now have THE best midfield in the league. Well done board, well done team.. now lets win this league!
Superb stuff by Muzza and Co- Top of the league and with a useful looking squad, who knows what will happen next, I for one am looking forward to it unfolding. Promotion? Takeover? 2009/10 is shaping nicely so far!
Well done to the board, well done to Parky as if we hadn't got off to the start we had, maybe the board would have been a bit more inclined to cash in on a couple of players. As I said on the deadline thread, I don't think I've been this enthusiastic about Charlton for a long time.
[cite]Posted By: Lewis Coaches[/cite]Will say well done to the board this time next week.As clubs can still get players on loan for another 7 days, lets hope certain players do not leave.
Dont see people being sent out on loan being an issue. Why would the board sanction that ? The only reason to get rid of players surely would be to make money so loaning them out to other clubs would not be a good idea they may as well sold them.I really cant see that happening, not any of the main players anyway, there's just no sense to it
Today, in my opinion, has seen our famous old club begin to rise out of the recent 'depression' and all praise has to go to Parky with a 100% league record and the board for keeping the midfield whilst allowing Parky to bring in 2 experienced players and a lad that has obviously impressed the scouts. A good home win on Saturday would be the icing on the cake this week. This has been a good day!!
Agreed. Many thanks to the current and future (if so a think exists) board. And great credit to the players for wanting to stay and help rebuild our great club.

Chicago makes a good point there. The players deserve credit they now want to play for the club and not one of them threw their toys out of the pram as we have seen in the past. I have read a lot of people slating the opinion that the premiership isnt the be all and end all but I am beginning to join the ranks of people really enjoying themselves. I would rather see a team, winning and wanting to play for the club more than anything else.
yep, well done to all concerned. Kept the players we wanted to, strengthened the forward line, brought in a much needed centre half and a promising youngster. Now for the takeover.
Find it funny though that Fleetwood who has at least featured on the bench was farmed out on a season loan whilst Dicko, whom is out of contract at the end of the season and for whom we are sitting on an offer, has stayed especially when Tuna has jumoed ahead in the pecking order.
Well done from me. I still wonder if one more defender is going to come in? There is talk of offering Fortune an improved contract. If that is the case we really do have a tidy squad.

Now that would be even better news.
Stupid question but can he now sign as a loan player bearing in mind the deadline has passed?

He can sign for anyone at any time as he's a free agent. For example West Ham have said that even though the window has closed for Prem teams they are talking to a free agent striker.
My guess is that there may well be more deals done for "free agents" this time around. I think clubs have trimmed their squads and there are plenty out there.

It's great to have people in such high spirits again. We are now a club full of optimism and that is something to savour.
A good day to be an Addick today and credit where it's due to the Board and Parky.
