    Was it Dick Graham as Palace manager that caused furore in the 1960's when his team didn't line up as you describe?

    I remeber the first time my games teacher pinned the school team up on the notice board in 3-3-4 formation (about 1971-2). We all thought he'd lost the plot. How could he take the centre forward out and put him as an extra centre half? Mad.
