  • [cite]Posted By: Rothko[/cite]Isn't Caplin leaving after Murray said was "one final job"

yes, RM also said the same evening that Parky was going to lose his job. 5th May wasn't that ?

    And your point is?
  • Isnt it a tad of a contradiction to slag them off and then ask the question of what is their job?
  • what did Murray actually say? cause I doubt he sacked or threatened to sack someone in public in a shitty working mans club in Bickley.

Make for an interesting court case
  • B.
I haven't "slagged them off", I would like to know their jobs.

as someone said in another thread that is just semantics. No-one left that meeting in any doubt as to the future of either Parky or Nigel Capelin.

What specifically is it that you, and others, think they're doing that you'd handle differently?[/quote]

I try not to swear on here, but I fucking agree with you.

Well I certainly didn't and I asked a direct question to RM about the three of them.

If there is still the 'one job' left to deal with, then I can only assume it's to do with Dowie.

It's appears to be a very poor show when you sack all the Indians yet keep the Chiefs - still we're told one of them got £1m for Hudson as obviously no one else is able to negotiate at the Club.

Everybody is screaming for RM and DC to let us know what is going on, but the wall of silence from the current CEO of the Club is deafening. He is the executive leader and should be publicly trying to at least steady the ship. But nothing, not a peep. He must be really pissed off with the new 50% tax levy.
  • Is 1 of the 3 the CEO ?
  • Six-a-bag-of-nuts

'Seth, I'd be a lot more convinced of your argument if I thought you were talking from a position of insider knowledge. Are you?

Otherwise it just comes across as Mr. Angry man channeling his venom at a sitting duck.'

I have the same strong and weak insider knowledge as most on here...my venom is about what the money is being spent on at this awful time for our club....we have 9000 season ticket holders who pay their dosh up front and trust that their dosh is put to good use. It has been suggested that the more people who buy season tickets, the more attractive our club is to an investor, however how many season tickets fund those three wages....and as MOG asks, what do we get for the money?
  • I would guess the three of them take up a minimum of 1,000 East Stand season tickets.
  • Well Forest Green Rovers, victors over us last week, averaged 955 for the whole of last season....so it seems it's possible to run a whole football club for the cost of those three wages.
  • [cite]Posted By: Addickted[/cite]I would guess the three of them take up a minimum of 1,000 East Stand season tickets.

when you suggested 500k pa for the three of them did RM confirm or deny that or was he non-committal ?
  • [cite]Posted By: seth plum[/cite]....and as MOG asks, what do we get for the money?

I suppose that's the problem I have, I haven't got a clue what he does so I can't get passionate about calling for his head.

Presumably Murray and the powers that be are happy with his contrbution?

As far as sacking Indians and not Chiefs, Addicted, since when has any business ever behaved any different during a squeeze?

I just need a better argument before I scapegoat Waggott

  • Waggott should not be the scapegoat, but he should not write rubbish weekly in the programme, and he should be paid no more than £60,000 per year, and we should have some sense that he is adding value to the club, and the same goes for Capelin and Kavanagh, but they don't put themselves forward as the face of the club as Waggott does, and the three of them should take no more than 400 adult season tickets to fund...if that.
  • Jesus, this thread is priceless. What the f*ck does it matter what they do? They have jobs and one must assume that they are doing them otherwise they wouldn't have them any more, would they.

But hey, let's just make someone else redundant, eh? We don't know what they do but they must be crap.

Right, who's next? I know, Maud the tea lady - what the fcuk does she do? GET RID OF HER!!!
  • I made a lot of tea when I was there. Maybe they're so thirsty they don't talk anymore? .

so off it have Millwall got 3 peope of that standing, have Hartlepool,Swindon,Orient, etc etc. We cannot afford all 3
what the feck are they still doing there 1 person would do.Christ almighty look at the programme when Steve Sutherland swaped with the geezer from Plymouth.Time to get into the real world.Question for Brunello do you think a club now in our position can afford all 3 ? Or indeed should we have 3 people in them positions given our current position.

Perhaps that's why they're getting rid of them all.

I appreciate that SK's role is more as an FD than an MD and that an organisation with a £20/30m turnover needs one, but due to the current financial climate can we afford (indeed do we really need) both a CEO and a Deputy CEO.

I'd love to see both their Job descriptions. Do they both attend Board Meetings for instance?

Probably the most telling post on this thread.
  • They all attend board meetings.

To be fair, Steve Kavanagh is a very capable finance director and nobody at the club would suggest otherwise.

Ha ha - I bet there's at least one person who thinks each of them are doing a decent enough job.

Fact is, I don't know and I don't really care. It just seems to me that some people constantly want a witch hunt and these three are the latest targets. Pathetic really.
