[cite]Posted By: News Shopper[/cite]A statement in the near future? Some of us are still waiting for the promised full explanation on Dowie's departure three years on : )
The longer the silence drags on the more likely the deal is still just alive and they are working hard to make it complete. They may be drawing up new terms or maybe someone else has stepped?
It could be wishful thinking but we heard about Zabeel less than 24 hours later
[cite]Posted By: Steve Dowman[/cite]And I said I would ignore all the speculation for a while, then read this thread. It seems the club seem to need to say something very profound now, they are digging a deeper hole all the time otherwise. Tick tock. Not that I have anything but the greatest respect for all the directors and appreciate what they have done for the club, I really do, but it is getting difficult to stay behind them recently.

''Our legal advisors have told the club not to make any comment on the future regarding the club at the current time'' ''We are aware of the published article about the debt's within the club by former employee Mick Collins in the Sunday issue of the daily Mail and have decided to not comment on that either.'' Parky has stated that He is looking foward to the new season after signing his very first autograph since being the manage for a fan of wexford. He has since decided to leave Charlton Atheletic and decided to begin his Wexford carreer as he feels he has a future there and it will build him up to be the next England manager. Mark Kinsella will now take caretaker roll for the next few months and will get the job full tim if he beats Parky's record of 0 wins out of 8 games in caretaker charge.

I'm still waiting for the debut of Cory Gibbs!!![/quote]
I daresay there are two statements, both written and ready to publish when the time is right.
#1 saying that that board have agreed to a takeover by xyz and they are happy with the deal and wish the new owners the best of succsess
#2 There is no takeover, the board will continue to do what they feel is best for the club and hope that fans will do their utmost to support the club at this time.
I am going to wait for the announcement - will most probably still be sitting here in 2014. Doing no fecking work and constantly staring at Charlton life to see whether one of the 40 rumours I heard last night is actually true.

so you didn't hear the 41st, that was a real eye-opener.
BTW, Club has announced Bartrams has re-opened so that's a relief.
Can't everybody with a Charlton connection buy a ST, whether they go to matches or not ......?
We might have a capacity of 27,111 ...... but if we could sell 35,000 ST's that would help with cash into the coffers.
Many ST holders don't go anyway, so they'll be plenty of room for those that do.

agree with this
Hopefully, but it's still worrying.
