Just got my new home shirt. Sizes are a bit smaller, so I got a large instead of my usual medium. Material is nice and is actually quite nice in the flesh.
Mike Rea was being his normal uncommunicative self outside the shop last night : - )
He wouldn't say what the away kits will be like other than that it looks very good. He said the reaction to the new shirt was very positive and that they were flying off the shelves.
I'd still prefer no white stripe but it looks OK and the plain shorts and socks are "proper" Charlton.

Is that the guy with the beard & glasses?
Yep. He's a good guy (and I'm not just saying that cos I know he'll read this)

Whenever I have spoken to him (only a couple of times admittedly) he has always been very helpful.

Most of the staff at the Valley (well apart from Waggott's old PA) are. They aren't perfect but they don't deserve some of the uninformed abuse they get.
[cite]Posted By: Nelsenout[/cite]Apart from the fact that the 'White stripe of surrender' is a truely shocking shirt.
Surely the worst shirt in living memory , why didn't they have a plain red shirt and RED socks.
congratulations on your epic fail - the kit is very smart and I thunk more will like it than not

Apart from the young lad serving my son last night taking the piss and calling me Elvis!!!! "Thank ya very much"
Went over to the ground this afternoon to get the new shirt. Not the best we have had but wanted to contribute to the club so have bought yet another one. The shop is decked out with most of the new gear now with the exception of the new away shirt. Staff pretty helpful although they did mention to me that with the closure of the Bexleyheath store and all the mail order stuff being done from there now that they were expecting to get swamped. Have to say I like their optimism! If anyone wants a new shirt there are plenty there.
Just got back from Pool and other than the win and performance the most pleasing aspect of the day was seeing them in red socks. Really made the new shirt look better than when used with white socks.

keeper kit in that picture
For some reason Robbie changed from a green time at half time.

Orange, just for Roy Keane :-)
He'd just save the pen. The forward was about 8 yards out so all Rob could do was spread himself Peter Schmeichel style to try and block the shot.

They did say they would.

Gotta be some time over the next 3 days as they'll be wearing it on Sat... I'd say today at 3pm
