[cite]Posted By: ChicagoAddick[/cite]Agree with Ric and others above. It's only since Joma got involved that we suddenly have to have some white on our shirts.

Did Joma do the early 60s shirts then?

How about the OSCA shirt with the white band, and the Admiral with the white shoulder flashes?

    Shirts
  • never bought or wore a shirt in my life or a scarf, each to there own, very nice though very modern

Yes, yes, yes, ok but flashes and pin stripes are one thing but Joma will have us looking like Sunderland next.

Anyhoo Henry, any idea why we went white for two season in the 60's?

  • I think a little white band around the end of the sleeves would've made it perfect.

    white + sleeves = arsenal
  • I'm confused is that a compliment or being nasty?

    A Compliment all the way.
  • and weve got this all to look forward to again in 12 months when the joma deal expires, will the kit be discounted as its for one season only?

    Double post.
  • [cite]Posted By: pilchard[/cite]Double post.
  • Oh and white socks are a no no.
  • I like it myself...cant wait for the away shirt...thats what I usually buy anyway.
  • [quote][cite]Posted By: ross[/cite]Oh and white socks are a no no.[/quote]

I like the kit with the white socks.

I like the new shirt. It's so much better than last years design that looked like something Tracey Emin designed.
  • That is a good point about cost. I haven't bought for donkeys but I always get my son one. If it is a one year deal will it be discounted? Or perhaps more sensibly a voucher should be given with purchase allowing a refund if it is changed after one year or more likely krbs go bust.

5 shirts in 5 years is ridiculous.

I think the not having a new shirt each year applied to the ideal world of being flush with premiership cash, now we are desperate all is fair in love and war, that and the changing of shirt makers and sponsors.
  • I really like it!
  • Love me Charlton shirts me, the signed, framed and put on the wall variety really but have bought a few for wear over the years. I like this one, very clean lines and my first impression is, that this is a shirt for success. After seeing that hideous piece of unreconstructed crap they produced last year, I can honestly say my first words were (and I have a witness...) "That is a lower/minor league shirt that is!" and was I right ? We are going up !
  • Looks just dandy to me - just need to remove the crap within the shirt and we're great again!!
  • Yep - it's still a big thumbs up from me. I like the white socks. Will they remain though?

aren't they similar to last year, white with a red flash - just looking at the pic of Hudson on the shop kit page - just checked there was a bit more red on the socks last year.
