My understanding is that PV is out there trying to find a buyer, not actually involved with the individual/consortium who are looking at buying the Club. RM quite clearly told us that.

Which may not have been the full truth.

I think you may be right.

    For once : - )

If that's the case, it'll be the last time I let him ponce a cigarette off me.
  • Well if Varney is putting up a considerable sum himself, then he must have been earning a lot more than Waggott :-)
  • He's come a long way since On The Buses!
  • Gosh, I misunderstood things, I thought we were so lucky to have Mr Waggott's services that he was bound to get a higher wage than Mr Varney, yet there is now a suggestion that maybe Mr Waggott is earning less money than Mr Varney was on. Knowing what happens to season ticket money is a bit confusing to me.

    No, Donkey !!

Thought he gave up (buying) them.

    ;-)
  • As has been stated many times the current board are passionate fans as the rest of us, so even in the realisation of our current financial plight. I don't believe they would sell to any party that wasn't committed to the best interests of the club and its future.
  • Totally agree, Striker.

Just a thought ....Has anyone realised that Varney rhymes with Blarney? Significant, believe me....

Not sure about working relationship, but it couldn't have been too bad as they socialise a fair bit with their other halves outside of football.

Which years? Their first spell together, or 2009-2015?
