  • i think the main problem with mills is his character, i remember another player saying he could start a fight in an empty room.

    If our club spirit is fragile, he might be the right character needed. He would also command a decent salary as well.

    Oh yes. But my favourite thing about that game is Steve Brown going in goal. The Villa players obviously assumed that it'd be easy because he wasn't a proper keeper, and took potshots as and when they felt like it, but he just kept making the saves.

    Quite right Ali- that is- (was?) the charlton spirit. Steve Brown is a Charlton legend fact-

    Mills also played a big part in the final push to the premiership and was a great performer in our first season despite our relegation. It was unfortunate the way he left whilst all about him stayed!

    As AFKA says- it's part of his make up that he is a tad aggresive- possibly just the sort we need at the moment???
