  • [cite]Posted By: nth london addick[/cite]you wont be saying that when i rule the world, henners

or at least rule my house when the wife lets me ;-)

    Exactly. Men! know your place!
  • Shut your noise Bitch
  • Or what ?
  • Not you love , its the others
  • all the players owe it to the fans to stay and get us back in the championship then back to the premiership if that means pay cuts then so be it if you dont want to stay and get us back up then jog on and find another club we only want commited players in the camp.

we have more then enough quality to bounce back if we stay togther ok ZZ Weaver Ambrose Fortune Randolph Tody Holland are the main players out of contract we need the right management with a new board to take us forward again the current board have put there hands in there pockets just at the wrong time backing ian dowie

lets hope we get the right man for the job and he brings in some quality which we can add to the current squad
  • or i will tell tav that your chain is too long as you aint close enough to the sink or he needs to move the pc as yu should be cleaning;-)

runs very quickly ducks for cover and whimpers for forgivness

    Ahem.....

    Nothing wrong with that statement.

Virtually unstoppable in the air, which we are going to get a lot of in League 1.

Needs a pacy defender to play with admittedly. Think if we get Ward they would be a good partnership (As already proven arguably in the latter stages of the season) Then at least we would have 3 decent CB's with Fortune aswell (If he stays)

Very stoppable in the air and easily beatable on the ground.

Not the worse we've ever had but Ward and Fortune are both better players

    Totally Agree
  • Len Glover reckoned : "Spin for nobody else is mug enough to match my wages in the present climate so I might as well stay put.''

You bloody old cynic, Len! But it happens you are 100 per cent right. Hudson's agent has been talking to Cardiff for months.

    Either:

    a) they have declined to meet his wage demands, as you suggest

    or possibly

    b) they were so appalled by his pathetic performance against Cardiff in April that they have decided to look elsewhere.
  • Most of our mistakes this year were through his careless defending and neivety. Can't believe he came third in Player of the Year. I Hope he DOESN'T stay

  • Or c. Cardiff don't expect to now raise us much from their sales as they expected

Or d. The player he was expected to replace is not now going

Oe e. Its just the right quote for this present time
  • or f. the take over is moments away and he will be keeing the same salary
  • Perhaps Darren Purse won't now be signing for Charlton at the umpteenth attempt, so the club won't release Hudson, lol
  • Hudson "I learnt a lot last season". Don't really understand that quote, what did he learn? He played in his Centre Back role he has played in his whole career and is now 27...was it just that he learnt how to lose without any real fight?
  • Mark Hudson is sh!te end of.

Weren't they meant to be selling Roger Johnson? Has that fallen through?

he cant win, we can only go on what he is saying and if he means it that is the sort of player I want for next year.

Come on give him a chance.

Agree, he's only giving a quote to the paper and don't really blame him for that or read too much into it either way.

Just don't rate him that much and of all the players we might raise money on he's one of those I'd be least upset to see go.
  • It's only right we give him a chance, he has given strikers plenty this season!

Yep, as soon as Bailey etc come out saying they would like to stay everyone praises him. Hudson does it and people want to get rid!.

I personally think that although he didn't have the best of seasons last year (like everyone else) I don't think we are going to find anyone better for League One than him.

As for his wages, whose to say he didn't have a relegation wage drop clause in his contract?

I woulld suggest that it is highly unlikely that any of our players have a relegation wage drop clause - I don't believe it even crossed anyone's mind when we were signing players last summer that we'd find ourselves bottom of the league...

They might've learnt from the Faye/M Bent fiasco last season.
  • Hudson is off to WATFORD imo - FACT

I'd like to think so, BRE, but somehow I doubt it!

    I agree sadly :-(

And Dazzler, he's not off to Watford. the takeover will be completed and everyone will be given a pay rise so no-one is leaving!
  • If the club is stupid enough to still not have relegation wage drop clauses after the last few seasons then who can blame the players for holding fast? They're not Charlton fans by and large - it's their job! The smarter players would probably have had relegation "escape" clauses too, which no doubt the club would have agreed to as Pards was desperate for the signatures!

Purse has agreed to sign for Sheff W, although hasn't as yet.
  • Hudson can hopefully go but I hope Ward moves to us. Now what about Fortune , surely he will go
  • It looks like we're going to at least try and keep Fortune, so hard to say at the moment.

At that level he should look like a World Class player, its not so long ago he was holding his own against the likes of Shearer. I hope Fortune stays as I am sure with him fit we will have the best central defender in that League.
