    I look at this way, say a company (whomever) loses a major contract or gets sacked from a major contract, due to one specific departments poor performance or incompetence, if the comapny then has to re-adjust and make redunancies in other areas because of this, or face going under, would you then expect the people in the under performing department to whack a couple of weeks wages in for those let go?
    It's a nice sentiment, and IMO due to the gulf in salaries between the players and the club staff they should at least do something, but in the real world it would not happen.

    None of us know why the squad under performed for sure, was it lack of effort? we know we had the players to at least avoid relegation IMO, was it Parkinsella? was it the coaching staff? was it the diet? the fitness regime/routine? was something else going in the background that none of us are privvy too that affected the whole club? so who would you start with by turning them upside down to empty their pockets?

    Just to confirm, they did do something and they didn't have to. I'm sure few if any gave as much as GH suggested, and I've no idea who contributed what, but they did something. I think that's pretty reasonable.
