  • I know who'd win in a fight...

Anyway - if he does not comply, would you have him back for League One next year?
  • Absolutely!

But after all the sh*t he got from supporters, would he come ?

In his boots, would you ......?
  • Wot shit ? we paid his wages for 10 years while for at least 4 of em he sat onhis arse geting paid.

He gave me one of my greatest moments ever as a Charlton fan when I was in a pub packed full of scouse in Swansea at uni.

Singing "Super Kev" on my own, on a table.
  • Bring Lisbie Back!
  • Keane: What have you ever done in your career?
Lisbie: Scored a hatrick against Liverpool...

And a brace at The Valley against Charlton

    ;o)
  • Didn't Keane or at least his family stay in Manchester while he was manager of Sunderland?
  • [cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]Didn't Keane or at least his family stay in Manchester while he was manager of Sunderland?

Cheshire, apparently it was one of the reasons given for him leaving Sunderland, ie, he wouldn't move his family, now they are moving to Suffolk lock stock & barrel Keane is insisting his players move close to the training ground (wherever that may be) not actually Portman Road.
  • Yes but no but yes --------------------- there is a big "travellers fare" in Suffolk every year, maybe his family need to buy and sell some pots and pans, horses, dags ? or maybe Keanooooooooo is going to challange for " King of the Gypses" title ?

Keano was attracted to Ipswich by their badge which has a horse on it.

People who buy a season tichet early at Ipswich get a gold fish and some lucky heather.

Perhaps he learnt his lesson that managing from a distance with long commutes puts you too far away from the club.

Good, you won't be so upset the next time some one stereotypes all English people. : - )
  • I'd have him back like a shot. I think even his critics now realise he's not as crap as they thought he was, especially after watching our forward line this season. It was hardly his fault that he kept getting injured every time he found his form.
  • yes i will.

If he came back to us he's be our best player! Certainly our best striker, mind you Carlo would probably get a game now as well, maybe even Nelson.
  • But Bradley Allen wouldn't
  • [cite]Posted By: WSS[/cite]But Bradley Allen wouldn't

Yes, I think that would be pushing it too far. I had such high hopes for Bradders but he always looked to me like he was someones kid brother who had got onto the pitch by mistake.

If you are going to be a dwarf striker, like Bellamy or Owen for example, then you need to have some pace but poor Bradders was as slow as a tugboat and probably not even much faster than Carlo.

He sure was, just not quite as good! Clive Allen wasn't all that quick either but he was a bloody lethal finisher.
  • Lisbies not the worst by any means but he got into a bit of a comfort zone at Charlton as did a few other strikers.
  • Wasn't there a third Allen sandwiched in between Clive & QPR reject Bradley (I've got his autograph :) ) ?

As for Lisbie? I would have him back.
  • I am sure that Lisbie benefited from having De Canio at Charlton and towards the end of his time at the Valley we was good player but had injury problems which lead to a loss of confidence. He seems now to got over those problems and IMO would be a better player returning than left.

Martin Allen and Paul Allen spring to mind, the latter played for Spurs and West Ham.

I gave them a google and apparently they were his cousins and not his brothers. His dad and uncle were also professional footballers.
  • The Allen family duh duh duh duh

    *clap clap*
  • Probably end up at another Championship side.
