[cite]Posted By: Centenary_Shirt[/cite]I think that's a little harsh on Norwich. Their players looked just like ours did a month or two back.
I make you spot on, C_S.
Norwich played with fear and mental desperation - then promptly conceded an early goal.
A season of struggle and everything going wrong impacts on most players in a way many supporters don't appreciate - belief and confidence go out of the window, passing goes astray, sitters get missed - and then the heads drop.
Football is a game played with the mind.
We've seen it with Charlton too often this year. And Norwich showed that they were also riddled with anxiety and apprehension.
It reduces competant players to error strewn shadows of themselves, and from then on the game slips away.
I think whoever out of MK Dons and Leeds doesn't go up via the play offs would have to be favourites next season. We'd certainly be amongst the favourites now but we don't yet know who we'll be selling. Come August if we've got a team without ZZ, Bailey, Racon and Shelvey then i wouldn't fancy our chances.
i laid us to go up at 7 to 2 now about 6-4
i laid us to win the league at 8 to 1 now about 4 to 1....
i am the worst gambler in the world so we have a chance!!
