[cite]Posted By: nth london addick[/cite]Peter is fuming that Henners and Muse are doubting him, he has just smacked gordon brown round the mush and said
"NLA the valley NOW" and stormed off to the speed boat
fecking demanding this guy i have only half buried Gordon oh well the seagulls should eat him
Well he brought it on himself NLA.
If he can now do the business, then I take back my recent reservations - but he has got to do it quick, well by Thursday or Friday, perhaps next week or the week after. But no more prevarication, we WANT ACTION!
[quote][cite]Posted By: ShootersHillGuru[/cite][quote][cite]Posted By: J BLOCK joe[/cite]for those of you who think the takeover is off because of the link just posted actually read it, it's an old story[/quote]
I've taken this directly from the OS. It couldn't be clearer.
"Jonjo Shelvey's thigh niggle will be assessed by the England medical staff ahead of the crunch UEFA European U17 Championship clash with Turkey on Tuesday afternoon (4.45pm).
And there is still work to do for England as they bid to seal a place in the FIFA U17 World Cup later this year.
A draw will clinch their place in the competition in Nigeria but a win for Abdullah Ercan's side will see them deny the Young Lions - and Shelvey - the chance to shine on the world stage.
"We'll have to have a look at Jonjo before deciding whether he'll be fit for Tuesday," said Peacock as he begun his preparations for the last group game.
Peacock is definitely without the suspended Jose Baxter, after the Everton youngster picked up a second yellow card of the competition in the Germany reverse, and Manchester United midfielder, Ryan Tunnicliffe, who flew home on Monday with a knee injury sustained in the same game.
After watching his side's final training session at the home of FC Carl Zeiss Jena on Peacock said his side will be going for glory against Turkey, and at the very least sealing a place in Nigeria later this year.
He said: "The Germany defeat has been forgotten about. Now our focus is on beating Turkey and giving ourselves the best possible chance of competing in the semi-final.
But they still boast hopes of a place in the World Cup at the expense of Peacock's charges and Ercan will have Chelsea playmaker Gokhan Tore back from the suspension that kept him out of the latter defeat.
"It gives a message to our players; if you have a chance, you should force yourself to continue. It is up to them if they wish to make the most of their chance."
A very simple translation is...
Crunch time for Charlton's take over bid is next Tuesday at 4:45pm although there is still work to do
Luke Young will be the first signing on completion of the take-over on Tuesday. Keith Peacock will take over the reigns as caretaker manager until Jose Mourinho replaces him in July. Manchester United midfielder Cristiano Ronaldo will be Mourinho's first signing, despite Sir Alex Ferguson's complaints that "he's just going for glory".
Mourinho's has said "our focus is on giving ourselves the best chance of competing in Europe. That is why we will be signing Lampard, the Chelsea playmaker".
The message from Peter Varney is clear: "If you have a chance to take over South London's number one football club, you should force yourself to continue".
There have been ongoing talks for sometime with various parties(we ALL know that)....my take is that a takeover of some kind 'will' take place in the next few weeks or so.
There are a whole host of if's and but's to sort out I've no doubt but something is deffo in the wind.....how powerful and how much money those involved in the takeover have to move us significantly forward..... well who knows?
How much RM and Co wish to leave in the coffers is another issue or how many shares they want is yet another or do some or most of them want out altogether....there are so many variables it's not even worth contemplating it's very very complicated I should think.....but I'd stake my house on it that something, somewhere, somehow is slowly but surely falling into place.

I'm not having it, PV has made us all look like idiots! Varney out before he gets in!
Now if only we knew someone that all supporters could get behind, someone who's been at the club before, maybe was even voted in by supporters, someone who we could trust to make all the right decisions?

OK see you there!
See you there too
So. Whats everyone been talking about?
Now if only we knew someone that all supporters could get behind, someone who's been at the club before, maybe was even voted in by supporters, someone who we could trust to make all the right decisions?
I've got it!!!
ANDREW MILLS IN!!
PMSL
150 million buyout
50 million on the stadium and potholes and roof
70 million on players
30 mil to buy
Not happy if it is the latter. Show some ambition Varney!!!
Because if it's the latter, it sounds like Pardew's transfer policy.
PV not happy again with your comments henners
To buy what?
What are you hiding from us? ... as usual we are not told the full truth. Typical Charlton !
And don't pretend you don't know - you were on the speedboat long enough with Varney.
Like I care what he thinks
*quickly texts PV to apologise and beg for freebies at next away game*
