[cite]Posted By: Elthamaddick[/cite]despite a few errors of judgement, RM = still a top top 'charlton' man
Can't we bung the bonus from Brum for Bent to Darren Ward and hopefully keep him on the promise of 1st team football...assuming they both go up of course!
I think RM said Ward's wages are already high enough so seems unlikely but would like to keep him if we could.
Of course there is probably a perfectly good reason why DC wasnt there but I have to say this split structure really doesnt help communication. Of all the meetings I would have thought the purchase of Assets by RM from the PLC would have required the attendance of DC as figurehead of the PLC Board. I guess its Easter holiday time.
Dont want at all to take this informative thread of course but if we are to get back to the 'Charlton Way' as per Bings excellent blog then a less confusing Board structure would be preferable imho.

Was more surprised not to see Bob Whitehand there as he was a part of the deal while Chappell is "only" loaning £0.5m but as you say it's school holidays and both have school age kids.
For an allegedly incomplete summary, that was very helpful to me in my attempts to try to understand the inner workings of the club at this difficult time. Thanks so much for that Henry.
[cite]Posted By: razil[/cite]what were dicko comments?
Martin alluded to a comparison with Mike Small :-)
Have to say I'M DOWN WITH THAT ... without hurting anyones feelings, including Dickos, he's not up to CHAMPIONSHIP STANDARD, AND MAYBE EVEN FOOTBALL LEAGUE. Welling have better technical strikers,
his gills experience says otherwise. I think he got two games with us before he was played as a loan striker, clearly not his bag, and should have been kept on to get that first goal on more than one ocassion. I'm not saying he is or isn't but he shows promise and still hasn't been fully tried/tested in my view.

Basil .... again without being rude, he's shite ... sod the Gillingham experience.
He had one good half against Plymouth ... apart from that he has done as much as me sitting up in the North
Just re checked a copy of my shareholders letter, it describes the sale of two freehold properties, 1 and 2 Landsdown Mews. What else are we expected to glean from that other than it is two houses? Even if I were still living in London, I very much doubt I would have popped along to check them out.
Perhaps they could have made the situation clearer?

Not that it matters anyway.
Thanks for the report Henners, very informative.
It was unclear and I drew the same conclusion when I first read the letter. Suzi did point out that it was one house some time ago though.
Forgot to say we are keeping the academy and will most likely be the only league one club to do so according to RM
Some raised the 5 and 10 year ST idea and RM said it wasn't great as it was mortgaging future income and might make the club less attractive to a buyer.
Someone floated the idea of buying the Valley Pitch and RM said it was the most inspired idea he'd ever heard. Well, actually he said he liked the idea and would consider it : - )

Christ.
I've ever anyone needs a reality check of what we've to deal with, that is it.
no probs
A squad of around 20/22 players, with only loannes brought in, if injuries mean we need them.
No he was not, along with Mr Whitehand.
No, he wasn't.
Diawara?
They are generous people and like us : - )
For the best centre half you've never heard of
Even more scary when you consider that Wolves are reputed to have a (self imposed) 10k a week wage cap. Wouldn't imagine Mr Ward is in that bracket.

In any case RM is more than eloquent as we know
Interesting comments by Martin S regarding Dicko!
Or going on and on for hours.

1. Nick Gray said something positive
2. I was in the same room as him and didn't realise.
From 606
Fair play to Richard Murray

comment on the article
Brief summary of comments made by Richard Murray at Shareholders Meeting earlier today;
1. He was apologetic and embarrassed for the position the club now finds itself in.
2. He personally took his full share of the blame for the bad decisions that had been made.
3. He accepted that the Board had made many mistakes.
4. The biggest of which was to back two men [Dowie and Pardew] who then spent his money badly.
He also said that no decision had yet been made on keeping Parkinson beyond this season.
I personally think all these comments are welcome ...and that the final one is perhaps the most encouraging.
Well done to RM for fronting up.
Basil .... again without being rude, he's shite ... sod the Gillingham experience.

the truth hurts , dicko is pony
Have you been on 606 to tell him ;-)

No, not signed up on there and anyway he'll read it here anyway.
