Mullary had taken over a decent side, well organised with some real talent from Bailey that he almost completely ripped apart bringing in lots of mostly average ex-Spurs players.
And the football was boring.
And he was a twat.
Worse Charlton Manager Ever. Even Ken Craggs brought in Lennie Lawrence so did something positive.

Yes he did do that. I never understood why he didn't give the promoted side a chance. Pure narcissism? Insecurity? (It had to be his side with his players?). Anyway, bloody useless.
Btw I'm finding that I warm to Parky more and more. I'd like to see him given a chance next season...... to put out his team with his players! (Dives for cover).
zz seems to have injected some class about our midfield.
One game does not make up for being out all season does it!
The guy is a skillful player, and I am sure his wages reflect that. Funny that he was fit to go to the Olympics, injured before hand, mind you then comes back and is out most of the season.
'Just in time for the last few games eh" a cynic might think he was being put in the shop window for sale! be here next season then ! We will see.......
However Lennie Lawrence was around in Mullery's time as I remember Lennie taking the youth team training on one of those open days with Mullery giving a commentary. Who else did that?!
But Len, maybe Alan Curbishley was Jimmy Seed re-incarnated. ...?
In my mind that's 2 of Charlton's greatest ever managers.
Parky Lennie was the other - honourable mention though to Mike Bailey, who with a few games to go inherited a side demoralised by Andy Nelson. "Nelson out!", shouted the crowd and finally we got our wish - but too late.
Bailey transformed Charlton from bottom of Division 2 into a Division 3 promotion side, at the first time of asking.
We nearly blew promotion, of course, after being way out in front in time honoured Charlton tradition - but a Martin Robinson inspired win at Carlisle finally sealed 3rd place. "Mike Bailey, Mike Bailey, Mike Bailey .... Mike Bailey!, we drunkenly sang all the way home on the train back to Euston.

You can sell out of contract players????
Parky is a shocking manager, look at his record, not just here, at Hull as well.
He got lucky with Colchester and is about as much of a football manager as one of my trainers, I can't see how it's possible for him to be here next season, surely the board can't offer him a new contract.

No redeeming features IMHO
Dowie is running him pretty close though.
You won't find me in there.
"We are STAYING UP, we are staying up!"
See? There's only me and Kins left now.
;o)
;-)
But what about Kins .... I'm not going if he's not going?
;o)

Parky had him on loan at Hull City for 3 months, so had evedently built up a decent working relationship with Mills.
