This wonderful piece of council speak seems to tell us that an application for the replacement of the main stand which was built in 1924 was applied in March 2004 and in Feb 2006 was deemed 'not determined'.
Now from what I'm led to believe if there is no ongoing planning permission to replace the main stand it will have to close as currently the football licensing authority deem the main stand at SP to only be a 'temporary measure' hence them softening the legislation for it to hold supporters.
If planning permission is not sought or if the existing not determined permission is not renewed after five years, then the stand will have to close. Although the original drawings for this development don't appear on the Council website, I do remember the stand only being about two thirds the length of the pitch; which of course will look spectacular. Why was that Matt?

There have been a lot of issues regarding the height of the stand, and you know full well why that is, but as you are determined to play games for whatever reason, it is to do with residents objections to loss of light.
From what I understand, things have moved on and new plans could well be acceptable to residents because of usage of new materials and construction techniques.
Why would anyone fork out for improved facilities when you cant fill what you have? It’s a bit like us now deciding to fork out for that extension to 40k
This, along side this phantom buyer, sounds like more BS from Tango in the same vain as "I promised to buy SP and I did......Well I didn't actually someone else did and now we have to pay more rent than we did to Uncle Ron".

What is recorded in Croydon Council planning department is an old application for a two thirds pitch length stand which is 'not determined'. It's the length of the stand that's an issue not the height.
