I think many of Bailey's errors - and there were many of them - came from playing centre m/f and thinking that meant he had to be both the creative and defensive lynch-pin, involved in every single play.
He's not good enough for that. But it may be that Parky has actually got it right, playing him in his current position - whether he's there to defend Youga or not. It seems to lift the previous overload from his shoulders and allow him to do what he does best.
But don't vote for him! If he wins POTY by a mile, it's only going to encourage championshp teams that aren't going down to try to poach him, damn it...
there better not be a fecking poty this year if there is it will be a fuking shambles and what will the player be celebrating or saying they were the best player of what team a team who has been relegated to the 3rd teir of english football.
i will buy a ticket if there is one
i will make sure the players board and manager know how pissed off with them i am
[cite]Posted By: Rothko[/cite]Bailey for me. and Parkinson playing him wide has done him a favour, it's made him more disciplined during a game
This is incorrect.
1. He drifts inside all the time
2. He'd cut the ragedness out of his game and stopped trying to do the jobs of others before he got shitted to accommodate Spring et al
It probably suits him better because he's drifting into a less congested part of the park, but it's left us without width IMO
Although Bailey has only found his real form in the last 10 games I would have to say that he is the only real stand out player. Elliot can also be included although he has only been in since around or Dec-Jan, so I would give it to Bailey due to the fact he has played the majority of games and has been the only player who has seemed to give a shit.

do you think thats Baileys decision or the managers?
Definately the manager's. Curbs played during our most successful period with a narrow midfield, i don't have a problem with that. I did when we had someone like Iwelumo up front crying out for decent wide play, but not with the current set up.
Got to be Bailey I think. Elliot hasn't done enough for me yet. None of the defence have stood out often enough, certainly couldn't be any of the strikers. In midfield Bailey has been the only one that has been there all season.
We've been lucky missing Racon, Zheng and even Fortune for a lot of the season, who are their best are among the better players in this league. Maybe we can't say that for Racon just yet but in the right team, with a team that complements him he'd do very well.

I believe because of the teams appalling performances this season there should not be a player of the year award. How can any one from this team which is the worst in over 40years be include inthe list of playe of the season, with the likes of Richard Rufus, Rob Lee. Dean Kiely, Kieth Peacock, Derek Hales etc. Does not seem wright.

Bailey winning it for me so far.

Surely you mean unlucky ?
elliot has had chances to make himself a star (like carson did in our relegation season) but has performed average at best
Yeah of course.
Does not seem wright.
JOKE. Bailey best player this dismal season.
