Is there no one willing to tell Parkinson that "You'll play with what you have. Make due."? Obviously there is no single reason this season went to pot, but surely a stunning inability to manage the talent on the roster has played a major part. The seemingly never-ending stream of has-beens and never-will-bes introduced to the XVIII would appear only to bolster the excuse that the players on the pitch aren't good enough and distract from the inevitable conclusion that the gaffer doesn't have an f'ing clue as to what he is doing or what he plans to do.
I am sure that there is no reasonable justification for this emotive reaction, but learning of a new signing offends my sensitivities more than the last two losses. Enough. If PP can't make something out of the choices he has now, let him search more fertile fields away from the Valley and let our players play.
[cite]Posted By: leftbehind[/cite]If he was any good he would not have taken such a crap contract for a side on the way down down downor been signed up by another side
See how easy it is for him to go from being rubbish or a waste of our time and money to some one that we have been guzumped over or we have blundered on.
All I did was say "gone to Norwich" and now people feel that the club has made a mistake. But weren't we meant to be making a mistake when we "signed" him.
So the common factor here is whatever Charlton do, it is a mistake for the only reason that it is Charlton doing it. : - (
Gawd, the club has made enough real mistakes without having to invent some more.

You sly old fox, rather neat IMO.
Thank you.
Not gone to Norwich. Wolves were going to snap him up but the Eagles swooped first.
Douala plays striker with Fleetwood in the behind-closed-doors kickabout with Jills this afternoon, at Sparrers.
Basey at CB also.
The OS says:
[/i]In August 2006, Douala moved to Pompey on loan, returning to Lisbon a year later before rejoining Saint-étienne for an undisclosed fee and then moving on to Greek side FC Asteras Tripolis.[/i]
That's a lot of moving around in a very short time - not very settled, is he?

I'm going for "why did we waste our time trialling him when he obviously wasn't any good"
and "how much of a financial mess must we be in if we can't sign the likes of him" as clear winners on this one but happy to be proved wrong.
My brother who works for Radio Solent sport said he was woeful whilst at Pompey, normally got quite an accurate judgement on players as he commentates twice a week for that region's teams.

That's what we do.
;o)
And to me its not so cut and dried that a player can do well for us in the next few months and then be off at the end of the season.

Have we said that about all the other unkowns we have signed is it worth keep taking a chance?

hard to argue with that.
Or "joke"?

That Kap is a quality post. lol
well he is level with dickson for league goals for us this season;-)
Got to disagree with you, I thought he spent too much time ball watching.

Anyway fill your boots
maybe we should have thought about that in the first place , unless they've worsened dramatically in the last few weeks
Perhaps he simply asked for more money than we were prepared to risk on a player who hadn't played any serious football recently?
Locked on fact.
