Dont have designated seating on your season ticket.
Just have ticket for say North Upper.
I am sure there are people who want to get more involved in singing etc who would do if they could move near the 'choir'
Plus if you have got friends etc who might want to come to the odd game, they can get a ticket knowing they would be able to sit with their friends.

Could work but what would you say to those who have a particular seat they like and want to keep ie back row or front row.
Same issue with those in the East Stand you are planning to boot out of their seats they may have had since 95.
I'm lower West and sing my heart out, but I often feel totally isolated and 'odd'. It does occasionally get going but there seems to be an 'embarassment' factor. I think that more would join in if they didn't feel so alone.
A winning team would help make the Valley a fortress. the crowd responds to a winning team. So when we can have a team which isn't completley clueless then the Valley can be a fortress.
How do you quote from a previous page?
This is in response to Henry - surely a few people not being able to sit in 'their' seat is a price worth paying for a better atmosphere at the game? Alternatively they could get there earlier to make sure they get their seat, and pump cash into the clubs coffers rather than Con/Lib clubs....
Anyway, the reason we have been relegated twice in three seasons is due to the smoking ban, and not being able to light up a lucky ciggie with 10 mins to go.
Designated singing areas in the NE quadrant is a great idea - no doubt there will be substantially less ST's sold next year anyway, so certain less popular blocks can be kept free for the specially designated singing area.
But allow any ST holder or home seating match ticket holder to gain optional entry, a couple of stewards manning a gate can ensure any undesireables can be 'policed'.

Given that for evening games I'm doing well to get there for 7:45 at all, having to faff around for a decent seat when I got there would be the final straw that made sure I didn't renew.

.
Maybe for you but what about them?
They may feel they do contribute to the atmosphere already and that they pay their money for that seat and have done so since the stand opened.
Why, they may say, do I have to get their early and still not be guarenteed my seat. that's why I buy a season ticket.
Not saying they are right or you are wrong but that is a response you will get so need to think out how to deal with it.
When i got to No. 8 - i came up with No. 9 also. In fact I was speaking to the Fans Forum about this when i bumped into them in the pub after their meeting.
Never been a better opportunity for the Oak now for the club to get involved in it.

And with CASC wanting to be more relevant and all that, there's an opportunity for them too.
[cite]Posted By: Ketman[/cite]I am with NSS on this one, win some bleedin Home games, that means more than one in a row, the atmostphere will soon change.
Absolutely right.
We had a good atmosphere when Curbishley was manager a lot of the time.

What I could have said has been said
I think "I Surrender" is one of theirs ...................... but then again it might've been Rainbow.

Agreed - Dave has come up with some effectively simple and fantastic ideas.
