and realise you've only got carthorse, can't be arsed Todorov on the bench when the game is crying out for someone to get on the end of Kandol's flick ons and create somethings too.
Cue you bring on Dickson and Shelvey.
Oh, hold on - you can't - because they dared to waste 4 or 5 half chances the other night - which is precisely more than Burton has had in total and Todorov can't even run!
Kandol did well today - and he's got family problems at home - puts Burton and Todorov to shame.
Kandol and Dickon tore Plymouth apart in our last win - and they've won their last 3 games too - so why on earth with both of them fit and available, did we not start with them?
Spring has SPRUNG - totally ineffective for two games in a row - ZZ did more going forward and defending/tracking back in 15 minutes than Spring has just done in over 150 minutes.

Shelvey not even in the 16?
We have no other central defenders.
I'm surprised that Toddy was preferred to Dickson as a sub, perhaps he had a knock?
I know I am in a smaller and smaller minority here but I honestly think if we had played him every game he was fit for this season he would be by a long way our top scorer and would have created chances as well. Who knows, I guess we will see next season when he will no doubt join a different Championship side.
Didn't like the sound of Burton and Kandol together. Problem is Dickson is our only option as a quick striker, apart from Fleetwood who it's hard to see him getting a chance.
As for Todorov I wouldn't be surprised if he goes back to Bulgaria (like Kishishev recently did). Who in the Championship is going to take a chance on him?
His shooting is poor, he can't get a header on target with the whole goal at his mercy, he's selfish and he has no intelligence on the football field whatsover.
What would be the point of playing him? I'm sick of reading how he's our best striker. If that's the case he should have taken his opportunity when given a few games in the side. He didn't score so what's the fuss about?
I agree that Shelvey deserved a place on the bench at least though.
He probably was slaughtered. Which is why he wasn't around the 16.
Happens to Yassin tbh.
I think our bunch of strikers are hopeless tbf. If we had them for the whole season I reckon we'd be lucky to get 10 out of all of them combined.
I think he'll go into retirement. He'll be released at the end of the season and I can't see any team taking a chance on a player who's missed most of the last few years with a succession of injuries.
Dicko should have been dropped and rightly so but not dropped from the 16
ridiculous
great mgr decision
I have not been part of the Dicko fan club but after Plymouth I would have started with him alongside Kandol given that performance. If he was knackered after Tuesday I would have had him on the bench ahead of Todorov for the last 20 mins.
And if we wanted to rest Shelvey that wasnt the match to do it either as it was our last chance of survival.
Doubt he was knackered after tuesday, he didn't do anything!
Shelvey is not a forward to my mind and is much more effective when further back where he can speed up the midfield play, as he did on Tuesday when he was put back into midfield. Why wasn't he even on the bench? ridiculous!

I really wouldnt bother with any other loanees as I cant see we would want them in League 1.
I would rather we send them back and save a few pennies.
Sorry, didn't read your post properly - missed the 'other loanees' bit.
Soz.
Yeh I know that. But we may need them in League 1 and are positions that we are really short of fit contracted players. Soares and Butterfield offer us nothing for the future.
ZZ and Ambrose are only in my 16 to see if we can get them in the shop window as we need to offload.
Oops we crossed. You get my gist Oggy I am not anti loanee just dont see the point now in some of them.
