[cite]Posted By: robroy[/cite]I am 100% renewing. My only gripe this season is if I had not had a season ticket and gone to all home games I would possibly have paid less. Has anybody worked this out? I sit west lower.
Yes and no you wouldn't have paid less.
The Target 40k committee and Rick Everitt in particular spend a lot of time calculating the ST cost v the match day to make sure that a ST, for obvious reasons, is always cheaper and by some way.
That differential is a key factor in setting the various prices. There are cheap seats available on matchdays but these are for areas with cheaper STs so it evens its self out.
Rick can give you the exact figures if you tell him exactly where you sit but I can't be arsed to go through all the old minutes and find his spreadsheets and charts : - )
In addition you also get the convenience of not having to buy match by match and by buying upfront are helping the club to plan for the season.
I'm trying to persuade the missus that it would best that get an st next year with our 9 year old so she doesn't feel left out with the new baby... (don't tell though)

* Covered End Had a S/T for nearly 40 years and will always renew.
It saddens me greatly that people stop renewing when the club is in the greatest need of their support.
While I had no intention of it being so, this thread has turned into a terrific survey of the fans and our attitude to our club at present. I reckon this from Covered End post sums it up for me, it's what it's all about. I've always regarded myself as a supporter rather than a fan and quite frankly we need to support our club more than ever right now. For all those who've said they won't be renewing, I completely understand but I hope you change your minds.

But donlt be too harsh on those who don't renew, as there will be a whole combination of reasons. I live 500 miles away, so it's actually more odd to most people that I have had a season ticket for goodness knows how many years. I'll still put similar amounts of money into the club - perhaps by sponsoring a player or using hospitality.
Agreed Weegie. this is in fact my first season as a season ticket holder as I've rarely spent a season in London, England and even Europe long enough to make buying a season ticket worth while. previously I've always been one of those that has had to buy a ticket on a game-by-game basis. Additionally I've noticed that a number of people have said that they won't be renewing for financial reasons, there are a lot of people losing their jobs right now and I think that his is something the club will have to address.
My son aged 11 after the Doncaster match asked me if we were going to renew. I told him I was unsure. He informed me he wanted to buy his own ticket out of his birthday money. We will be renewing because we are charlton til we die.
Didnt renew last year because of work but im trying to fix me shifts already as i have hated it first year in 15 without a season ticket. and working with me on a sat with us loseing cant have been fun either lol. So yes i am gonna get it back next year The division dont mater im an addick and proud
