Our midfield four of Soares, Racon, Bailey and Spring have all scored in the last four games.
Ward and Hudson both have the turning circle of a London Bus and as a pairing will be vulnerable to anyone running at them.
ZZ has played their for China so the position won't be foreign (sorry) to him.
It will be an easier intro back into the team than in midfield and if things aren't working out he can always be pushed further up the pitch.
Please do discuss.

After his lengthy lay off and foot injury I doubt he'll be divin into any challanges or 50/50's and we need players doing that all day and night out there
Or off Kandol. Good idea Large, drop Dickson and play ZZ in a 4-4-1-1. I like it.
I agree
I don't agree with that. He'd be more efective in the PL with more time and space.
As for him playing off Dickson I'm really not convinced if only for the fact that I don't think that this will play to Dickson's strengths which isn't, by all accounts, holding the ball up. Dickson needs to play on the shoulder of the opposition back four and (rather like Defoe) will always look better with a big man alongside him and not anywhere near so good as a lone striker in a 4-5-1.
He hasn't kicked a ball for 4 months for Chrissakes, so the one thing he aint is match fit.
If Parkinsella has any sense, he'll very gradually ease him back - so as others have suggested to have come off the bench for a couple of matches might be the ideal.
As matches get played, there's bound to be an opening for ZZ - so his chance will come around soon enough.
I take your point Oggy but how do you know that it isn't his correct position? As I say he's played there for China and if he can do it at International level then I'm sure he can do it in the Championship. We're not talking about Matty Holland here after all.
"I wish I had said that"
"You will Henry, you will"
..... the new name for our management team, lol
Parkinsella's Red and White Army
Okay, AA - ZZ might do very well as the 'sweeper' CB mopping up the 2nd balls.
But as Matty Holland proved, even though he'd played CB a couple of times in the Prem for Ipswich, he was fine pressed into an emergency stop gap situation - but lacking height and physical presence, he was targeted tactically. as Bristol City proved scoring their 2 goals that beat us.
ZZ would I believe, prove equally lightweight as Matty Holland at CB against a big bruising lump in this league.
That felt real good to write.
Yeah exactly.
Bench for now, can bring him in for Spring or Soares if one of them gets injured/struggles with form, or Soares goes back to Stoke. He'd be comfortable out wide and would help make the midfield more solid as it has been without wingers.
Would much rather ZZ anywhere in midfield than defence. Holland can handle playing there, can't see ZZ being strong enough or good enough in the air. Holland wins far more headers and challenges in midfield than Zheng ever did. Much more physical league than when he would have played there in China.
Keep to a winning side that is well balanced by all means but ZZ is class and if he is fit or close to it should be on the bench to come on and do a job as Scoham says.
He'll be gone in the summer which is a shame but finances dictate that. Before then he has the talent to win games for us in the right team and this might just be the right team.
(1) What number is normally associated with the position of centre back?
(2) Which of our players wears that number?
Need I say anymore?
PS ZZ's at 5' 11'' is a whole 2" taller than Matty at 5' 9". And as we all know that two inches can be vital.
