Curious indeed. On the OS, the dreaded word administration has appeared on the fans forum. A normally reputable fan has had it 'mentioned' to him that admin is to be discussed in Feb. Realistic rumours or scaremongering?

Well a lot of people had it "mentioned" to them from RM that it will not happen while he is at the helm.
Despite my reservations on their recent decision making I take this at face value.

Normally reputable fan and the Your views section of the OS = Contradiction in terms.
SSN runs a story = The club can't get anything right : - (
Am I right that if the club went into administration the Murray family would still own The Valley and Sparrows Lane which is separate from the football company. If there is an investor or consortium out there then it would be a crafty way of clearing the books . As long as he didnt sell them to a property firm or hotel chain. Murray may even know and is close to the consortium and wouldnt do this. Losing 10 points now would really not make a difference they and probably the majority of the fans think we are down. Sorry Henry not survey stats on the last point ;-0
I thought everyone knew that the players had to go out on loan for a few years to get work permits. Rather than complaining that the club have screwed up at least they have had the initiative to set the thing up that means 3 years down the line we might get these players playing at charlton and also doing good community work at the same time.
Seriously some people will complain about anything. Your wives must be bloody saints!
nah..... it looks like we are actually selling him, no?
"The Ivorian starlet is believed to be a hot prospect for the future, but does not meet the criteria required to play in England.
For that reason it appears as though the Addicks are prepared to part with the talented teenager they picked up from the famed ASEC Mimosas academy." (from the SSN link)
so it's not a case of loaning him out so that we can get him later (as we all expected)...it's a case of - we thought we could do that...but...er....we can't....so we'll have to sell him...
but hey that is just me interpreting SSNs wording of 'part with'
if we really can't get a permit for him (even after 3 years or whatever) it really does raise a question about hwhy we have the ASEC deal in place....
Re criteria-
'Endorsement of the applicant by the sport's governing body
In order for a Certificate of Sponsorship to be issued in the Tier 2 Sports People Category, the sponsor will need to have an endorsement for the applicant from the appropriate governing body for his or her sport. The endorsement will confirm that:
The player or coach is internationally established at the highest level
The player or coach will make a significant contribution to the development of his or her sport at the highest level in the UK
The post could not be filled by a suitable settled worker'
Presumably FIFA decides and Bi hasn't played at a high enough level for a sufficient number of games?
[cite]Posted By: AFKABartram[/cite]Before people get too excited, some official clarification or info from any in the know would certainly be appreciated to be honest.
If only we had some members of the Comms team signed up as members on here ; - )
We're not selling him, I'm almost certain he'll be going on loan and Sky have got the wrong idea. Bi, along with another 3, have signed this month for us, was mentioned in the finance report.
We've already got four players from ASEC out on loan in France. Bakary Soro started on loan in Belgium, then moved to Lorient again on loan. We had two on loan at a Norwegian club, they are now at another French team. The fourth signed this time last year and joined a French club on loan last summer.
We hardly going to sign him this month and sell him, it just happens that this time the club tried to get a work permit for him. Maybe we did for the other four players, but it was rejected every time?
See Peter Varney's comments on the ASEC deal from last year, it's very much a long term thing-
"This isn't about Charlton getting three players from the Ivory Coast next week," said Varney.
"This is something we will look back on in four or five years time and somebody will say Charlton had the vision to set this structure up around the world and from that have come these players who they didn't paying huge fees for.

Like the clarification we got about Danny Uchechi's status...........

I don't think even Danny agent, Cyril Regis, knows his status these days
Thought it was common knowledge that you have to loan these players out before they can get a work permit. Man Utd did it with their CHinese bloke Dong I think.
If he does turn out to be any good then I highly doubt we will ever see him in a Charlton shirt
Comments
Will things ever stop being depressing?
And I thought we loaned him out so that he could play in England.
Why the fuck do we have a link to a team where we can't get their players a permit?
Or Am I missing something?
And I also hear he can't hold the ball up.
Or was that just lies?
Despite my reservations on their recent decision making I take this at face value.

that was my understanding
This story has been sent to test us, to see how strong we are. Will we reject him?
Will we worship false idols such as Jackson or Dickson or remain true?
Stand, Charlton, Stand as may have been said in a slightly different context once or twice.
