[cite]Posted By: AFKABartram[/cite]one of the only options that have been touted that would really excite me.
Bit of a non-story from the SLP.
I suspect that Reading will wait to see if anyone will be willing to pay cash for Lita but if by 31 Jan no one has then they'll allow him to go out on loan, maybe in the 2nd week in Feb when the loan window opens.
Depending on who else we've brought in or let go by then I think he'd be a good addition and he might just fancy it.

[cite]Posted By: South London Press[/cite]Henry- I wrote the story just because I thought in the transfer window, people would want to know who the club are approaching etc.
I agree the story might be stronger if a bid had been accepted, but I would question whether it is a 'non-story'.
accepted. Non-story was too harsh but it was perhaps one of many dozen calls made and received.
AFKA/Soundsas, Can we wait that long? Maybe not but it's Reading's call not ours as I see it.
Would be a very good signing, would have loved the service Burton got from Shelvey against Forest, those through balls much more suited to a player like Lita than Burton.
Would love to sign Lita, we desperately need a striker who can score and Lita can do that. Certainly worth a punt if the asking price is favourable. Relegation to League 1 is far more damaging to us than any potential signing of Lita would be surely?
If we went down having bought him then we'd have to sell him on again wouldn't we? If we can off load some of the bigger earners (Ambrose, Weaver etc) then a reasonable case would be made to sign him at the very least for a 3 month loan with potential to make it permanent if we stay up. Reading clearly want rid, we desperately need a scorer, relegation is almost certain with the current forwards we have sadly. It's all hypothetical anyway because of the fact that he turned down Sheff U he would be very unlikely to come to us in our current situation, would be nice tho.
[cite]Posted By: Ledge[/cite]He's hardly going to come here he's just turned down Sheff U because he wants to play for Reading and get them promoted
He might have rejected Sheff Utd because he didn't want to move up north? He was quite happy to go to Norwich plus he doesn't get in the Reading team and he's known for a long time that Coppell doesn't want him.

Think this is probably the key point - assuming we could actually afford him, either on loan or permanently, in the first place. If he did come, considering our position, that would be a very significant boost.
[cite]Posted By: L Block JT[/cite]Apparantly Leroy himself wants to come to us, but obviously Reading only want a perm.
Do you have a source for this nugget of info?
A user on 606 who has given us correct team news every Friday for the past year, and correct info about transfers/clubs goings on. Seems to be related to one of the players - but he won't reveal who.

Can we wait that long Ben?

Unless we are willing to pay a loan fee....
I for one would love Lita back here
Oh, yeah. Forgot about that : - )
Don't tell them NLA, they are too young to understand.
Depends how much I would guess. At least a fee might mean we'd keep him for longer and no recall.
Still think If I was Reading CEO I'd wait for a transfer fee.
Madeski's gota keep cilla with all that colgate... ;-)
Yes but what if we sign Lita AND get relegated, in which case we'd be in an even bigger mess.
