For those not going to the game, we'll be conducting our usual banter on here during the match, whilst running a book on what shade of anger NSS will be wearing when we go 4-0 down :-)
[cite]Posted By: uncle[/cite]It will be o-o till 70th minute when they bring Jonjo on and he gets an hattrick and we're through to the next round
Apart from uncle's sound logic, I still find it incredible that more on here are backing us to win than lose! We really do have some eternal optimists... ;-)
[cite]Posted By: Ketman[/cite]Even if we win in extra time or penalties it will still not feel like a win cos we could not do it in 90 minutes. PS we will lose tonight.
Try telling that to Liverpool in the CL Final in 2005
Dont think anyone will care, a win is a win is a win, and it might do amazing things for the squad confidenc and general attitude, in our position ANY victory is precious, only in Mourinho's world is going through on penaltys void, well I know we played in the next round of the league cup back in 2005, they didn't!

So you didn't think much of the 98 playoff final, then, Ketters? ;-)

Good point...or our victory over Chelsea a few years back.
Cup is different from League different mentality completely, if you draw you get another two bites at it, we wont get that in ANY of our remaining league games. Would still like us to win but one swallow does not a spring make & all that !
Shocked when I saw that team, can understand it though. Didn't think he'd throw Wright, Basey and Wagstaff in, never considered he'd put Yussuff on the bench.

Just got a funny feeling about this one. Charlton do sometimes surprise you when you least expect it!
Heart says we can, head says, same old same old - especially with another very changed line up
3-1 on pens to us
well i've voted a loss most games this season, y not a win tonight even if it will just buck my trend
If we can cut out the shit marking and stupid errors we might nick a 1-0 (Bailey)
If we win tonight I will do the same thing on saturday.
Fook it, i'm going to stick some money on a 3-0 win!
if it pays off, i'll use it to bribe Jonjo to stay!!

Different competition, but the same Charlton and the same game, they are even going to use the same ball and rules.
what are those we turn up play ok get hit with 2 goals then have people moaning about how unlucky we were
by the way away turn out for 2nite what do you think
200 for me
Subs: Elliot, Youga, Shelvey, Holland, Todorov, Dickson, Yussuff
Yeah I think that's most likely.
Rashid Yussuff on the bench for the first time!
