[cite]Posted By: Oggy Red[/cite]Henry, does that mean we need money more than points at the moment.....?
Points means prizes.
We have plenty of centre midfield players and with Racon and Shelvey back have, IMHO, cover there even if I'd still play ZZ if it was up to me.
Maybe the money brought in and the wages freed up (about £100k per week I heard from an unreliable source) will allow us to bring in some other players.
In order for CAFC to sell him he will HAVE to appear for first team again to prove fitness, so I think you will see him play again then be sold after 2 first team games on last day of transfer window at a guess.

[cite]Posted By: Morts-Genius-Jnr[/cite]Although we would like him to stay, there is absolutly no chance that he will! ZZ is only worth keeping if he wants to play, but he doesn't!
How do you know he doesn't want to play? His chances of getting a gig in one of the Premiership teams will recede if he gets a reputation for stroppiness and besides that will want to prove his fitness. I think now that the window is coming to and and he's not back in the first team matchday squad that we've got him until the summer.
Then his contract expires and he'll be off, we'll just have to hope that he gets enough games to make a positive impact to win us enough points that we can stay up.
Given his move to a premiership team broke down due to personal terms I'm suspecting that he's literally well out of our league. Sure he'll have to revise his expectations, but not as far as where we're going.
Unless he starts showing the form of his first season again I can't see people falling over themselves to buy him. And on Saturday he didn't look much, did he?

After 5 months out of action and having 60 mins under his belt I thought he did pretty well actually!

He looked a class above anything else on the pitch and that was in 15 minutes after a long lay off.
Please not again. What do people see him do? I think he's off Heroes and his ability is to convince lots of people he is world class without in reality actually contributing anything at all.
Blimey blackheath, you really don't like him do you? Every time he's mentioned on here you slag him off.
I think in 15 minutes he looked more comfortable on the ball than anyone on the pitch and moved the ball around more in those 15 minutes than we have all season. Not bad for being out of action for 5 months and playing part of a reserve game. Still Spring's a great player!

Give him a break
Exactly. ZZ is quality. Great all round midfielder who can score and put his foot in. Nice to see him get a good reception when he came on too. When he signed for us last year he turned down premiership teams, stating unfinished business with us. Surely that deserves a bit of respect if nothing else.

Totally agree.
He was constantly looking for a ball to be passed to his feet. he must have wondered WTF was going on.
Its not that I dont like him. I think he's a good player. At this level he's more than comfortable. But the adulation he seems to receive doesnt line up with his actual ability and I dont think he's had a good game for us since 2007.

Our current midfield consist of :
Holland, Racon, Bailey, Shelvey, Ambrose, ZZ, Wright, Spring, Sam, Wagstaff, Semedo and Sinclair.
That's 12 players over 4 positions, with only 2 of them being wingers.
Shock horror!!
