Conceding Defeat

  • yeah i know what your saying, but like br said,if he can play for the reserves or the youth team and play well, surely its the next step????
  • Yep, I'd like to see him played a bit more often, and I don't know why he hasn't featured more often. If Uncle is here maybe he can shed some light...but U18/reserve games are not going to be as intense as first team games and I hope he's being brought on properly and getting the right conditioning training. We had Parker at a similar age when we were also struggling and the temptation must have been to play him when he wasn't 100% fit, the wisdom of that approach led to Parker being a first team regular and not having that many injury problems.
  • It's not looking good, as we all know - but it's not over yet.

What Red Tadpole and 3Blokes are trying to say, is we don't need to hold a relegation wake at this stage of the season.
    Now that would be defeatist.

If it doesn't turn round, you can all gleefully tell me I'm wrong.
  • nicely put oggy. i was starting to think it was just me and3blokes.....
  • Well that makes seven of us princ e paul, the red tadpole, oggy, me and 3 blokes;o)

    So onwards and upwards!
  • I'm just about hanging in there. Not much choice really - don't like the alternative much.

[cite]Posted By: ShootersHillGuru[/cite]Really do hope you are right Tadpole and I am just a miserable defeatist old git.
SHG, I wouldn't dare. To be honest though, does it really matter which of you is right? It's going to be miserable enough round here if we do actually go down, so why inflict 5 months of pre-emptive gloom on ourselves before that?
