''It didn't quite work out because there was no money to build a squad.I'm ambitious. I'm used to managing big clubs and I wasn't allowed to bring in the players we needed, so it wasn't my fault. There was nothing I could do. I think they've all got to look at themselves to understand why they are where they are now - the players, the board, the fans, the tea lady, the stupid announcer and them w**kers on Charlton Life... ''
Oh and you had better chuck an "it was just one of those seasons" in there...
And probably concluding with : "But basically I left them in good shape. You can see that now as Phil Parkinson reaps the benefits of the set-up he inherited from me.''
He's on there with Aidy Boothroyd - they've read out a thank you-type message to him from a Watford fan, and a similar thing from a West Ham fan to Pardew. Funnily enough, though, no nice words from any Charlton fans.
He was just asked about our situation - normal stuff about the big financial gap between the Premier League and the Championship being too big, and players having to be moved on to help with the 'massive' financial issues.
I don't fear for the playing side of the club in league one. I do fear for it if Parky remains in charge and alienates assets that will be needed.
Who out of Gray, Hudson and Fortune stays? If you like them or not they're the only three players that have been mildly successful in their positions. So when Gray and Hudson almost definitely go for virtually nothing or free, who scores and who defends? We already have a league one striker on the books but Parky likes to alienate him.
For god's sake he wants another striker? What about full backs or wingers who can defend and assist. If no one assists does it matter about a striker?

Were you there yesterday, Colin? Because if so, I don't know what you saw in Hudson and Gray - I didn't see a single positive contribution from either. Burton did far more than Gray, and even I could have done better than Hudson on yesterday's showing ;-) ! If we can get money for them and get them off the wage bill, then let's do so ASAP!
Be fair Weegie, there were some good tackles from Hudson when players were running at him second half. He wasn't dominant enough in the air though, particularly in their box. I don't know if he's totally to blame for the goal though - anyone in the NL know if he got a shout from Murty or not, cos if he didn't Murty is at fault because he had that cross covered but Huds can't have known without a shout.

We do need another striker though. He doesn't rate Dickson and McLeod, probably doesn't think Todorov works hard enough. If Waghorn goes back to Sunderland that leaves us with Gray and Burton.

But I would be interested to know how many times he has reminded us that he used to manage West Ham...
and we have an incompetent in charge.....
and when you subject players to such consistent loses, with their confidence getting smashed, they can only succeed with a new boss.......
Most apalling move of our club and probably any club was to not get a new man in.... we might as well have stayed with Pardew.....
I fear for us in League one as well... this may not be the bottom yet people....
our club is flatlining on and off the pitch....

With the current structure of the side we have good reason to fear Div 1 (Reality Div 3)
So, The Prem is really Div 1,
the Championship is Div 2,
the 1st is Div 4...............no, no,no.
The Prem is Div 1,
the Champ is Div 2,
the Conference is Div 3..............bugger.
This team won't be playing in League 1 because they'll all have to be off-loaded as we won't be able to afford their wages.
He's only interested in one thing - himself!

Is Izale fit then?

Izale is our League Two striker, he's being held back for the 2010-2011 season
