[cite]Posted By: ChicagoAddick[/cite]Sounded like it was Murty and Fortune at fault for the goal. Why the angst against Hudson, apart from the Palarse aspect.
None of us were at the match, why not wait until those that were report back. But it does seem that recently that Hudson has recently become the person responsible for our defensive lapses.
2nd goal his fault according to match thread....anyway his performances recently have not been good and rumoured to be on 12k a week....in hindsight getting rid of paddy a mistake as he was playing well at the end of last season....
Hudson was poor today. We would have been better off with Holland starting alongside Fortune which at least only conceded one last week.
We really played some good attceking football for the first 15 then were still on top for another 15 then conceded a POOR ONE, then went to sleep for 5 minutes, 'that is why we are going down'. As the upper North was singing.

I thought the second goal was the result of a backpass By Matt Holland that landed at Earnshaw's feet?
Looking good, us Norwich and another to go[/quote]
Wouldn't surprise me if the table stayed like that to be honest, Roeder will get the sack shortly as well I expect.
Out of interest, is this a club record winless run for you now? I'm tempted to whack a tenner on you beating us now on the 27th, would be typical Palace.

agreed, as a fellow palace fan i'd bet a large sum of money on charlton ending their winless run against us
but i thought that just before we beat brighton 5-0 (when it should have been 8 or 9 at least) - so i might be pleasantly surprised
of course, i still don't care about charlton (hmm)
1st Goal was an absolute piss poor headed clearence by hudson he could have headed it out over the bar he could have flicked it back out over the far touch line or headed it clear of the area, He had Fortune behind him who could have dealt with it instead he opted to head it 3 yds in front of him into the path of tyson.
Matty Holland played a piss poor back pass into the path of earnshaw for 2-0
the worst thing about the day is that we looked solid and threatening in the first 30 with Burton having 2 chances to put us in front and wasted them
2nd half they were sent ver early out ala Phil Brown but it was a pointless excersise in freezing conditions, what on earth that did i dont know.
Elliot 7
Hudson 4 Forts 5 Mcevely 6 Murty 6
Holland 5 Sam 2 Ambrose 5
Shelvey 8 MOM
Burton 3
Gray 3
Waghorn 5
all in all we were a total shambles once they scored,
Game over folks night night fat lady clearing throat and reading the words
Second half I thought we would come out with a bit of fight and urgency but that was too much to ask.
They can all fuck off. We're down we all know it. Parkinson being given till the end of the season was the final nail in the coffin, we're only going in one direction.
I know Spring has only been here 24hours and would need time to settle in but he did nothing today, should have put him on the bench instead of starting.
Why Burton starts up top alone? WHY? 4-5-1 in a game we need to win. Gray and Waghorn are better than Burton, so god knows what Parky is thinking. So depressed. And cold.
Parky seems a nice enough bloke but he has not got a scooby. Playing one up front at home in a must win game and then when we go two nil down he still does not change it ill 15 mins into second half. We might as well have kept Pardew annd saved a million quid!!!!
Thought Charlton dominated the match but as per usual an inability to defend and inability to score sends the points to the other team. Jonjo was awesome imho.
The idea of playing Shelvey behind one up front is the ideal position for him the lad has such a future ahead of him and i will love to watch it where ever that may be .
But he needs someone with a clus up with him if i am honest i would play Shelvey behind waghorne
[cite]Posted By: ShootersHillGuru[/cite]We created chances today. If we had a natural goalscorer we would have won. Cue CHRIS DICKSON !!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed, give him a ****ing chance. had the ball in their half so much, managed to get loads of corners, but hardly made their keeper do anything - i can only remember one good save.
We dominated the entire game, they scored from the two chances they had.
Spring was ok should never have been taken off,
sharon was well sharon, useless pussy should never have playd no matter stayed on the field.
Jon Jo was quality shame no1 else can take his lead and WANT THE FUCKIN BALL
Burton will not score more than 3 goals this seaon, link up play very good but effectively we don't have any1 up front
Hudson - I was disgusted by his performance today
fotune, awful
sam - went missing 2nd half, looked like had a knock
mceverly was good
murty was good
elliot not at fault for either goal was put under alot of pressure due to ineptness of fortune and hudson in front of him
Holland - forgot he was on the field
Burton couldnt even hold the ball up his passing and decision making was woeful he shot from fully 35 yds during a period of good possesion and was never ever going to score from there and it resulted in giving them the ball back
I thought Sharron actually at times put it in
Holland was only meant to come on as a CH when Semedo come off Shelvey should have been put into CM and a striker put on and go 4 4 2
tactically stoopid and what was the point in putting the players out so early from half time i am sure you got your message across to them Parky
and froze the bollox out of them at the same time apart from the 2 mistakes things wernt that bad but fuk me do we need to get a STRIKER
Holland and Hudson both had nightmares. Hudson's head is always one of the first to drop and he's supposed to be our captain.
Fortune was the same Fortune when he's got someone average beside him, decent at times awful at others.
Murty and McEveley both good and solid.
We need to get more players in the box - in the last 10 we put in loads of crosses, but rarely were our strikers or anyone else in a position to attack it.
Elliott - 6 Had nowt to do but pick the ball out of his net twice. No chance with either. Decent distribution. Murty - 7 Solid, good experienced pro, what we needed. Mceveley - 6 Not much to do, got forward ok Hudson - 2 Clueless, at fault for both goals Fortune - 4 A shadow of the player he was (and could be) looks like he is carrying some weight to me Ambrose - 0 Shouldn't have bothered turning up, forgot he was on the pitch. Please never again Sam - 4 Too little end product Spring - 6 New to team, did ok, think he will be a good acquisistion Jonjo - 8 MoM, best by a mile. Great passing, good movement, keep it up lad Burton - 2 Some good flicks but missed 2 great chances and blocked another on the Forest line. Semedo - 7 When he got injured and went off our game went downhill fast Holland - 3 Hopeless today and at fault for second goal
Grey - 5 Did nothing but was not on for long Waghorn - 6 Did slightly more than Grey in same time
Parky - 3 One up front in a game you must win against a poor team. Too slow to make changes and when he did he moved Shelvey back which lost us all our momentum. Not a manager with the ability to get us out of this, never was.
Fans- 8 Thought they were very supportive today, went quiet in second part of second half but hardly surprising. Not much booing maybe due to being resigned to our fate

Remember paddy still wears cafc shirt i'll post the link in a mo!

I'm cold and fed up with it all. Lots of huff and puff, but no end product.
And if we're going to start at home with one up front, it might be an idea if that man looks likely to be able to finish the odd chance he might get.
