I know we've all had a horrible time but, starting from now - right now - is anyone else getting the buzz that the adventure of the next 20 League games could be absolutely blinding?
New year, new blood - what are we made of?
Think of the fun we'll have getting out of this horrible mess. It will be as good as Wembley 1998.

I am a lot more excited this year than I have been since a similar time in our last Prem year. I just hope the end result is different!
No idea where he got that sort of attitude from. I certainly didn't bring him up like that !
i don't envy you at the moment
If we do subsequently fail, it wouldn't be for the want of trying - and we'd know that we'd given it our best shot.
That would give us pride in ourselves as a club.
But we've 20 games and 60 points to fight for. It's still very much in our own hands.
This buzz that's growing is a new energy rising. Let's harness it now.
It's gonna be a lot more fun than just limply giving up and moaning.
Lose, and we'll have had the sails properly knocked out of us, and i think will find it hard to recover.
Biggest game since Blackburn away, and i'm starting to get nervous.
Thanks, David.
We don't envy you at any moment.
Ha, so pragmatic AFKA. Don't sit on fences, by any chance ...?
;o)
Don't think the worse - it's all there to play for.
C'MON YOU ADDICKS!
Once we got back fron Blackburn, we went out for a meal at the Chinatown restaurarnt down the road from us. Hadn't been back since, until last Sunday, when I felt the urge to go there again in the hope that it might break the hoodoo.
Perhaps we'll find out tomorrow?
Ain't that the truth. Dave for Fans' Forum Rep I say!
I can't call it fun but it might just be exciting, nail biting, edge of the seat stuff. Bring it on.
I think it was Jerome Thomas who said
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
I didn't think he could read.
;o)
Maybe it was Aswad then. Someone called Thomas anyhow.
yep, i'm really buzzing today. Work situation has improved and now know my new employers come Feb 1st.
cafc situation has also improved - 2/3 good signings and none of this over the hill, used to be quality bollox wev'e been used to (starting with JFH and ending with Gillesdpie & Burton)
all we need now is a couple of forwards who know where the net is & don't mind roughing up the oppos back 4. Would like to see Dickson given 3 or 4 games FROM THE START but that ain't going to happen.
PS - kids off to their nans for the weekend - we still have the little 'un at home but the other two are gone until sunday pm..........a lie in awaits me-thinks.
Onwards with the evangelism.
Now where's GH. Coming to get ya, mate!
;o)
David, In 1984 we were 5 minutes away from being thrown out of the league after have gone bust and been wound up in the high court! I can assure you nothing this season or any before or since has come close to that in terms of brinkmanship and tension.
I will go F*CKING MENTAL ala play off final, nothing better than thinking you've well and truely lost it to come back and do it......... I hope we do it so much i cant put it into words, honestly i cant, i got butterflies now!?
2) Fresh blood coming into the team, and a bit of backbone, grit & determination.
3) It's in our own hands, despite the Gloomsters talking us into the footballing grave.
C'MON YOU ADDICKS. Unite together and we can save our season!

I didn't know that about 84 - I just remember you pitching up at ours in late 85 and playing us at selhurst about a week after
we had some close calls with going out of existence in 99/00 - and it was harsh
in the context of that, a relegation fight (even to the third division) is unpleasant but still a walk in the park
i'll watch your result closely today - very very very big game for you
And you might want to use the edit facility to do something about this , too:
"starting from now - right now - is anyone else getting the buzz that the adventure of the next 20 League games could be absolutely blinding?''
