    FECK.... ARSE....

Sinking Ship and all that Mularchy...
  • 2 wingers needed now Parky.

Basey to play there on Saturday?
  • Hmm.

    Q. When is a season long loan, not a season long loan?
    A. When it's called a season long loan!

Reading between the lines maybe his attitude isn't quite right for Parky which, to be fair, a few have also observed on here!
  • Oh well, that's it then. Much as I think he's a lazy bastard at times Bouazza was literally our last player of any real quality. We'll be lucky if we win three games between now and the end of the season - my guess is we'll be relegated by easter.

    Bollocks.

no adam and leroy imo it doesnt have to be a signal of bad news

if you read parkies comments it sounds like buzz didnt give twopoops about actually rolling up his sleeves and putting a shift in

good ridance to bad rubbish he never turned it on enough and it free's up a loan space and proberly a few quid in wages
  • B*gger. Now I'm depressed again!

V annoying because he's only going on loan to Birmingham.

Somebody said on here that Fulham were still paying part of his wages. So I can only assume that Birmingham have offered to pay all his wages for the loan spell. Mark it down as another one lost due to our financial constraints.
  • could be a good thing in disguise that, get rid of all the old loans and just keep parky's and let the others have a go.
  • Well that about puts the tin hat on it!

  • Parky said on the OS:

Speaking before the recall was confirmed, Charlton boss Phil Parkinson told the official website: "We had an agreement for the season with Fulham, but there was a recall clause in there and that can be activated. "I'd like him to stay, but I also want players who want to roll their sleeves up and fight. This is a big club and people have got to be ready for the 20 cup finals ahead of us. Hameur's a good lad, a good professional, but I don't want any disaffected players around the building."

They you are. Parky has let him go - perhaps, because of attitude?

    Bollocks.

Apart from the cotton wool wrapped Jonjo?
  • SSN confirm gone to Birmingham
  • exactly oggy if anyone reads that and still says we should have kept him they must be mad

about time shelvey was sold , i think he's the last one with any natural talent left at the club......... we are a poor team/club no matter how you dress it up

    edit..yup agree with the bing

Oggy - we didn't let him go ! Parky himself says he'd have liked him to stay and then tries to put a positive gloss on it.

If you look at the O/S, the match preview for Sat which was only posted at about 3pm this afternoon talks about him playing v Forest. So Fulham have recalled him within the last couple of hours and there's one reason alone : they've got a better financial deal out of loaning him to Brum than to us !
  • "Despite agreeing a season-long loan deal for Bouazza in the summer with the Cottagers, there was a recall clause in the winger's contract during January that Fulham have now activated.

Indeed, it appears the Algerian will not be spending long back at Craven Cottage, though, with the star joining Championship side Birmingham City on loan for the remainder of the campaign"

What complete bollocks - if they're recalling him it should be to either keep him there or to sell him, not to farm him out to anotehr club, presumably because there's a better deal for either the club or the player.
  • good riddance. shyte like him pocketing their thousands each week and not trying (eg Blackpool away etc) are what got the club into this position football wise in the first place.

    Top scorers at Club:

    Gray 7
    Bailey 5
    Hudson 2
    Any other 1

So, if Bailey and Gray don't play on Saturday where exactly do the goals come from?

    Not that I'm defending Bouazza.
  • we have been burnt once again... WHEN WILL WE LEARN!!!!! Pards and the board said at the start of the season we would be cautious in the loan market6 months later and UMPTEEN loanees later look where we are..

    tyson and earnshaw
  • Lets not cry over spilt milk. He's gone. F*ck him I say. Who knows where the truth lies. Perhaps he was Mr Sulk (he certainly gave that impression). Perhaps he engineered it because he's nose is full of snot and he likes to speak that way.

We might get somebody in better who knows?

I'm with Oggy on this one. I think Parky is happy for him to go but won't publicly slag him off. Hence I'd like him to stay BUT (my capitals) Hameur's a good lad etc BUT (my capitals).

A good manager bollocks in private and praises in public.

Despite the fact we wasnt paying his wages?
  • HE DIDNT WANT TO PLAY FOR A TEAM AT THE BOTTOM OF LEAGUE FFS

WHY KEEP A PLAYER LIKE THAT

THE BLOKE HAS BEEN SLATED IN MORE THREADS FOR BEING LAZY THAN AMBROSE

look you made me swear and shout
  • yeah he is very skillful, maybe the most able regular in our team...but he is a Fulham player, and I prefer to watch OUR dross, not theirs. Not impressed by Mc Evily, and Murty is stop gap, Waghorn pushes one of OUR wage earners down the pecking order...all the loanees can go IMHO, oops...forgot, all these loan players have contributed to our fantastic success this season have they not?

of course charlton were if not directly into his pay packet but via Fulham. He didnt put enough effort in to warrant being paid nought anyway!
  • i am sure loans dont get given to us for nowt there must be money that changes hands, does anyone know how it works if so please enlighten me
  • He would have been no use to us if we kept him and somehow forced him to stay.

We now only have one winger in Sam, though Ambrose is back. Christensen doesn't count, Parkinson has just said we've offered him a settlement on his contract, no chance of him playing for us as we thought.

Will be interesting to see if Parkinson plays Basey or Ambrose on the left.

50/50 chance of a signing before Saturday

I just hope he knew Bouazza was on his way and it's a left winger, left footed if possible.

Dickson has also turned down loan moves to League One clubs, he wants a permanent move. He'll probably go on loan if he's still here at the end of the month.

We aren't signing Danny Graham or Jason Demetriou.

Looks like players like Christensen, Dickson and Sinclair (well a months loan for now) will be leaving. I guess it could also include Thomas, Ambrose, Fleetwood, Todorov, maybe even Youga and Moutaouakil.
With a large squad at his disposal, Parkinson is also looking to move several players on to pastures new in the near future.

"We've got a lot of players who aren't anywhere near the first team and it's only fair to them, and fair to the finances of our club, that we move some out," said Parkinson, who was quick to dismiss speculation linking the Addicks with moves for Carlisle United's Danny Graham and Leyton Orient's Jason Demetriou.

Striker Chris Dickson handed in a transfer request recently, but Parkinson insisted there had been no firm bids for the former Dulwich Hamlet hitman.

"We've had a few calls from League One clubs about the possibility of a loan, but he has turned those down," said Parkinson. "He's keen to get a permanent move but if he hasn't by the end of January, I should imagine he'll go out somewhere on loan."

Parkinson was also keen to clarify Martin Christensen's situation at the club, following reports that the Danish winger had been released by the Addicks.

"Martin is still a Charlton player," stated Parkinson. "His father has been ill back in Denmark so he has been there a lot and maybe people assumed he'd left the club, but he's still here.

"Martin has been offered a settlement on his contract, but as of yet, he hasn't decided to take it. He was in training on Thursday so that's as far as it goes at this point."
