every time I think we're just about to turn that corner we get hammered, forrest to rump us, Boo's start after 20 min 2-0 down by that time, 3 by half time - but atleast we draw the second game I mean half
the only hope we have is that it will be called off cos our pitch is fucked, if we were true fans we'd be going down the valley thursday night and physically dig up large portions of the pitch!!!!
One of the few times i've not backed my own side. Can't see us getting anything, Forest had that new manager lift about them
Absolutely bricking it for the weekend as I can see us 8 points adrift of saftey... my stupid brain will still think "it's only three wins and we're out of it"... curse you bastard optimistic grey matter
We will win, shelvey will play, murty will start and forest have a flu virus in the squad sky sports text page 741. fingers x'd they have it bad and have to play their yoof team
Forrests coach when doing at about 50MPH out of the Blackwall tunnel will break very suddenly as a black cat called Cyril runs in front of it. All the players who are wearing their seat belts are thrown forward sustaining whip lash injuries. This stops them running, turning, heading ---CAFC manage a heroic nil- nil. At least 2 peeps on here say "the cornor is in sight" " i thought we showed some good touches"
[cite]Posted By: BigRedEvil[/cite]Anyone think Ambrose will start on the left tomorrow now that Bouazza has gone?
That's what I thought, but the OS preview suggest Sam on the left, Ambrose on the right. I think that'll be it, but they'll probably swap around at some point, which has happened a few times this season, with and without Pardew.
Unless he decides to go for a more 'solid' player in Basey? Or we get Spring/a midfielder in on time.
Momentum has to be built from a starting point and this is it. A 3-1 win for me to surprise the lot of us and let those in front of us know that we are hot on their tails.
As for the team:
Elliot
Murty Hudson Fortune McEveley
Ambrose Spring Semedo Sam
Shelvey
Burton
Goals from Ambrose, Shelvey and Waghorn (from the bench).

I admire the optimism given that's one more goal from those three than they've got all season. In fact, that 12 has managed just 6 goals in total from approximately 160 games. There again I suppose who else have we got? ;-)
Another defeat, the squad looks worse the longer I look at it...so wont bother with a line up. Got to the beyond caring stage after the Parky appointment....wont stop me going however...back in time for Palace.
Firstly, I'll ignore the miss-spelling in the thread title....
Secondly - am pretty nervous about this match. Yes, we've played much better way than home, recently taking Southampton apart (though they were truly dreadful) and of course the crazy result against Man. City. Which should point to a good result today for us.
However, this is not the Forest way. Just when they show a glimpse of promise, maybe the start of a run, that famous corner turned, the strikers are finding the net, then somehow we always manage to snatch a defeat from the jaws of victory. But reading your forum, it sounds worryingly similar to us.
Therefore, I'll go for a frustrating, nervy no score draw. And wishing I'd stayed in the warmth of the pub.

We'll go in front, get jittery and let them back in.
Thats me putting a positive spin on as I actually think they'll smash us.
Charlton win 2-1
Jonjo to score the opener
Forest to pull 1 back then go 2 -1 up
Dicko off the bench 2-2
Fortune flying header 89 min winner
Elliot
Murghty (0 in 1)
Hudson (2 in 25)
Fortune (0 in 14)
McEveley (0 in 17)
Sam (0 in 25)
Semedo (0 in 19)
Holland (1 in 24)
Ambrose (0 in 20)
Waghorn (1 in 7)
Burton (2 in 26)
To put it crudely that team has mustered the grand total of 6 goals in 168 appearances this season.
As I'm keen to have a bet on our first goalscorer who should I put my wedge on?

He won't play Ambrose. This team with Spring instead of Ambrose.

Come on you Reds - prove me wrong!!!

Can't wish you luck, of course - but cheers anyway!

???????????????????????????????????
Match referee Andy Woolmer praised the Addicks groundstaff after examining the pitch on his arrival at the ground on Saturday.
Despite some media reports to the contrary, Charlton's match against Nottingham Forest (3pm) is definitely on.
Said Woolmer: "The pitch is in fantastic condition, and is testament to the hard work of the ground staff.”
Confirmed
So MoM last week, Matt Hooland doesn't start.
Looks useful.
Shelvey in the hole, we assume after last week's good game & goal.
