[cite]Posted By: Oggy Red[/cite]I've sort of forgiven Scott Parker by now.

I felt betrayed and angry enough at the time, especially the knock on effect it had at our club that we're still paying the price for today - but he can't be blamed for every decision the club has made since then.

He was a very good player for us, playing with ability, courage and character.
We should perhaps factor that into our opinions of him.

Sure, in the end he let us down big time. But that was many years ago now.
We have to move on and put it all behind us.

Even if we can't totally forget.

His celebration after scoring against us for Newcastle showed a lack of class.
would you not have celebrated scoring that goal it was cracking!
  • He won't get in the England squad - Barry, Carrick and Huddlestone are all above him in the defensiv midfielder role when we'll probably take , and if (big if!) Hargreaves gets fit he would be too.

Sahme, in my opinion, I'm not the biggest Barry fan, and while I think Carrick is quality and a great interceptor of the play, we need a better tackler alongside (presumably) Lampard in the middle, and two attacking players (2 from Gerrard, Joe Cole, Walcott, Lennon) on the wings.

Could lose out to someone like Spain or Brazil in the same way Man Utd lost to Barca in the Champs Lge final - not being able to get the ball off them becuase we've not started anyone who can really break the play up.
  • I can't believe Huddlestone is above Parker in the pecking order, don't get me wrong he is good but Parker is better. I understand Barry is ahead (although like Neil- am not the biggest fan) and if Hargreaves was to make a miraculous recovery but I am surprised Capello has not had a longer look at Parker, thought Capello may be a fan, Parker could be like the English Gattuso.
