I wasn't there but i think it's about time we stop blaming managers past and present for our performances. Everyone of those that walk out on that pitch should know how to play football and what they need to do without having their hand held by the manager. Its not the managers fault its not the officials fault its not the fans fault !!! Its the fault of those that walk onto that pitch earning good money however they play. Maybe they should be on performance related pay . That would cut the wage bill but quite a bit
It is all desperately sad, something clearly needs to change, it seems that the players have lost it totally, it's got so bad that we expect defeat, and where it used to hurt it's now just numb

Where is the grandstand finish these days?
Ogs, its very much an empty grandstand finish these days, in more ways than one !
Ps. And you honestly can't blame the supporters, it is absolutely no different to any other club if they had had three years of decline and still no bloody fight.
I don't mean to blame supporters per se, that's not what I mean at all - although I find the snarling, bickering and long silences eery these days if I compare to the singing and humorous banter of not really that long ago, even when we were playing crap. But the crowd doesn't get behind the team like it used to - it frequently only seems to respond when we're winning.
Anyway my real point this time isn't about the crowd - it's the listless and spineless pedestrian performance of the team - where's that pride, spirit and fight, even when it had all been going wrong?
Where's even our 'grandstand finish'? That's the point I'm really trying to make.
falconwood thats exactly what i mean. They shouldn't be flapping about like headless chickens this is their trade. If you are a plumber you dont want your boss coming on every job to make sure you do it right, you just get on and do the job. They get paid a lot of money and should know what to do without having their hands held
I thought we were OK too, the problem is we have a new team yet again, so Parky has said to all the players on the club books I don't think you are good enough, can't be bothered to look but I bet v Swansea and v Reading at the start of the season we had only 1 or 2 loans playing.
Aren't centre halves there to defend though? And I thought in the few games he's played there for us, he done that pretty well. Call me weird but I'm not too bothered about him getting forward......
we couldnt retain the ball tonight we had not one plyer with the ability to get the ball under control and make a sensible forward or sideways pass that would enable any sort of build up play constant pressure on the back 4, this lump it and run type of football as played by the resies under kins and similar to what i watched in the youth cup match all very worrying as to what we are coaching at this club at the moment
I'm not normally one to get on a managers back and i think Charlton did the right thing with their lack of finances to at least give Parky a go. But 1 point from 4 games and the last 2 performances in particular have surely proved that he is not the man to turn it round.
Coventry were awful yet they beat us quite comfortably. I've been going to Charlton for 22 years now since the Selhurst days and i can honestly say i've not seen a Charlton side as bad as the one we currently have. Dodgy keeper, can't defend, no creativity, no goals and no fight either. We are heading down with that lot.
I know we can't afford to get anyone decent in as manager but i think the board have to balance that against how much money we'll lose if we get relegated. Ideally a new man will be in charge for next Monday but if not then certainly by the Norwich game. Ship out the loanees we don't want, seriously what is the point of 7 loans when we can only play 5. Why is Waghorn here and not playing? Why is Cranie here when he's total shit? I know Moo2 isn't a world beater but i'd rather one of our own play badly than us pay extra for a loan player to perform no better.
Bailey is terrible right now, Holland should play the holding role and we might as well get Wright and Shelvey in as they can only do better than what we currently have. And I've said it before and i'll say it again, GIVE DICKSON A START.

Martin Simons??
Now I'd pay to watch him on the sidelines.
"Also, I can't understand what people are moaning about Burton for, he's far more of a presence than Gray."
Burton is not upto this league. That also says a lot about the rest of the players he's keeping out.
Unfortunately that's not possible........There's a legal minimum wage in this country.
If you'd seen tonight at of those who started only Fortune put in a prp effort.
The rest were flapping around like headless chickens.
I don't know what Bouazza does at all.

It was like he was going to be fined if he didn't pass the ball beforehand.
He's never an England U21 player.
Upfront with Gray next game????
Bouazza just isn't the player you need at the moment.
I agree with you Uncle but he also sets out the team, formation, tactics and pattern of play.
Unfortunately there weren't much of that unless hoofing 40 yards balls forward is our tactic and pattern of play?
It was a performance that gets Manager's sacked. Rightly or wrongly.
there is no way that wase Jose
