Same here. I managed to avoid it all on Saturday by going to the Rochester Dickens event and had a great time. Then, at 4.50 I switched the telly on. Since then every time I think about anything CAFC it brings me down and I've been doing everything possible to avoid the whole thing.

except for logging on to a charlton fans message board :-)
  • I not ready to slit my wrists either, in fact the complete opposite, I'll admit I only go to about 10 to 15 games a season (mixture home and away) like a lot of you I have followed/supported CAFC for a very long time. But about a year ago I started taking my son along (he is 7), and we love going, one of the things he thinks is great is the crowd, whatever the league we end up in hearing him humming VFR makes my day, its not the biggest club or the best supported, but IMO and thankfully my little un' come saturday it'll do just fine for us.
  • it's all gone tits up, wrist slitting won't help, all we can do is get behind Parky and the team and hope that the revival won't come too late. No point changing managers again, apart from Curbs perhaps, I don't think anyone else would do any better than Parky will. Win or lose he has to stick as much as possible with his best 11, and win or lose we have to stick with him.
  • Come on everybody....Smile.....it's nearly Christmas......Ho Ho Ho

So here it is Merry Christmas everybody's having fun......Look to the future now..its only just begun...un....un...!

No, including the message board. Once Monday somes there is no avoiding it, I just refuse to go throught the weekend in misery!!!
  • It's the wrist slitting while saying I told you so, which is what I find amusing.
  • i find the overt negativity annoying.

I find oneupmanship and smugness annoying.

I find people's inability to accept when you have had as bad a run as we have that people have every right to have a moan annoying.

I find people unable to post their view without sarcasm annoying

I find the lack of ability to disagree with other people's views annoying.

I find the fact people seem intent just to nark at each other and not accept any view other than their own as correct disappointing.
  • I find people moaning about people moaning annoying ;)
  • i find people moaning about people moaning and moaning at that annoying...

(see how long we cankeep this up).

Well I find.......Na. Leave it B. Think Smudge has man blob ;)
  • I would just like to apologise to the Group that my attempt at a Dunkirk/Battle of Britain-style rallying call has descended into a playground-style name-calling spat - the very thing that I was hoping we could maybe get away from, even for just one day.

Never in the field of football message boards has so much tosh been spoken by so many to so few. That Churchill fella knew a thing or two you know - and not just about insurance.
  • But not about sponsoring football clubs. He backed a wrong'un there.
