[cite]Posted By: Red Fraggle[/cite]Could I also suggest that we have a disabled section in the East too. With the gentle slope surely it must be more accessible than the West. I know its higher up and a slightly less of a good view for visually impaired disabled fans. I know the club only have a limited number of seats but wouldn't this further the work within the community and accommodate some of our less able supporters especially the older supporter. Not me I'm referring to but just a thought.
There's a disabled section in the East at the Jimmy Seed end of the Stand is there not?
Wasn't aware of this but thanks for the slightly patronising reply if that was the way it was intended. Walks off in a huff. Sneaks back. Does it have a gentle slope? It's in the other end of the Stand from me.
Damn it Red Fraggle who do you think we are Chelsea and Man Utd. The club has no money left stop the moaning we could be like Leeds or Bradford you know be grateful what you got ;-)

Not sure why that was slightly patronising and I should know. I can do patronising when I want to : -)
Unless it has moved the wheelchairs come out onto the raised walkway behind the boxes, across the bridge and up a wheelchair friendly ramp to the Sam Bartram exit where there are some parking spaces (both in the ground and in Landsdowne Mews for wheelchair users.
There is also the Disabled sections in the two quadrants which have a great view (used to take my dad in there) much better and not obstructed as in the East.
[cite]Posted By: Curb_It[/cite]no, you're not allowed out the gates red fraggle. but i was just saying if you did go outside the gates you could have a fag right there standing next to the stewards and you would be nearer the staff then if you were inside over in a sectioned off area. You woudlnt be allowed back in again mind you.
imagine the clamour for tickets in the east stand if they did allow this?
I can't remember which ground it was last season we went to i think it was coventry but they let those that wanted to outside for a fag..common sense
They do this at Portman Road as well. Let the home fans out into the car park so they can use the burger vans

How much of this nonsense is Law as opposed to jobsworth stewards abusing their little bit of power?
Is the pitchside announcer still employed or is Pards taking him with him to Welling?
Noticed it was BDL doing the warmup on Saturday.
Either that or the bloke gets a hell of a lot of time off considering he only does 1 day a fortnight.
If its a thread when we are allowed to moan about trivial things I would say pre poured lager at half time please, unless you leave before half time it takes 10 minutes to get a beer because you are in a queue of people waiting for, err, beer.

Surely 100 per poured lagers wouldnt be wasted?
i think they are doing pre poured lager in the north upper. But the only problem is where we hvae been so rubbish people have been going down for a drink 20-30 minutes into the game and have then drunk all the pre poured stuff and are on pint 2 before the half time whistle is blown. if we are good, you would see loads of pints all poured and waiting for you cos not many leave their seats.
1). What bloody "kid" ? 2). What landing in the north stand ? 3). Could I do the smoking drinking and eating a "veggie" pie at half-time ? 4). Are the potholes fixed yet ? and 5). Seriously, how did the first meeting go ?
Did Sacha leave early, did David White go on about the club not using the name Jimmy Seed stand enough, did Steve Waggott's PA get everyone's initials right?
The public have a right to know! Do we live in Stalin's Russia?
I hear Rothko has been sent to Germany by the club. Maybe looking a safe standing areas or maybe not.
Just so we're clear. As I understand it, it was agreed last night to wheel on a dead bloke with three arms at half time, and said dead bloke will ostentatiously smoke a cigarette, sup a pint of Old Badger's Whiskers and eat a pie. All to the tune of Cigarettes and Alcohol by Oasis.

Are season tickets still available?
Still some dispute over what type of beer but yes that is correct.
Gutted - I've just spent half an hour typing up my feedback from last night's meeting and I received a posting error.
AFKA - is there any way of recapturing the text or do I have to start again? Sadly I have work to do, so it will have to wait until lunchtime otherwise.

May want to type it in word and then cut and paste as the system doesn't like long waits between starting and finishing messages
That's a shame Dave. Unfortunately as Henry said there is an issue that it sometimes falls over when there is a long gap between starting a post, and hitting the send button.
If i type a long post, i always copy it as a precaution before sending. The good thing is it is so annoying, you only normally make that mistake once !
Last night’s meeting went well, I think – we managed to finish just in time for extra time in the Youth Cup match, so thanks to the team for keeping the scoreline at 1-1 until we ended the meeting.
The Fans’ Forum representatives need to provide a formal summary of the meeting, and we will need to consolidate our individual notes to do so, but I wanted to provide at least a top level summary of my own observations in the interest of rapid feedback.
Personally I was mightily impressed with the commitment and integrity of those who run our Club. The very existence of the Fans’ Forum is testimony to that, but you could tell that, to a man, they each do things for what they believe to be the right reasons. We may all have opinions, but my advice is to put your trust in the custodians of our Club and, in general, they will not let you down.
Martin Simons gave the best example of what I’m talking about. I asked him about the Club’s medium to long-term strategy regarding possible take-overs. His reply was all about “…… if we want to compete at the highest level”. This was music to my ears. This is a Club that wants to compete at the highest level and the recognition is that we need large (huge) investment to do so. Without it we will struggle. Of course, no-one wants to sell out to an investment group which fails to recognise our history and our heritage, but equally don’t imagine that there is a queue of potential investors lined up from which we can pick and choose. It seems as though the Zabeel deal was the right one, but sadly that didn’t happen. The Club is clearly looking for the right opportunity and will use the right criteria, I think, before decisions are made. And all this to ensure that we can “compete at the highest level”. That is the strong message.
We covered many topics last night and more detailed feedback will be provided. Smoking remains an issue – and the Club is clearly constrained by legal requirements and Police expectations in terms of crowd control. Be patient with CAFCTV. The problems at the weekend were out of the Club’s hands and need to be offset against that fact that this service provides things that you will just not get anywhere else (Press Day coverage, for example). Heaven forbid, you may even see one of us (probably Rothko) live on your screens on CAFCTV (‘sound of subscriptions being cancelled’). Matt Wright (Communications) was upbeat about what CAFCTV can provide, so I ask that you tolerate a few early teething problems in the interest of receiving an excellent service soon.
We discussed catering, both in terms of quality and service. It’s clear that Paul Ellison (Conferencing & Banqueting) is doing a manful job in the face of some tight budgetary expectations. The idea of ‘shadowing’ was proposed, and this is one that we will take up – Stephen Kavanagh will come along to find out just how long it takes to get a pint at half-time, while we will get to see behind the scenes to understand better the problems faced by catering and stewarding staff. All through the discussion I felt that there was a willingness to identify opportunities for improvement, while recognising some of the constraints which apply.
Although the Fans’ Forum is not designed to discuss ‘football’ matters, inevitably we moved onto the current state of the team. It’s worth recording that the Board are just as unhappy about things as we are – they are supporters too, after all. I asked if lessons had been learned from the previous managerial appointments and felt re-assured that this was the case. Phil Parkinson is clearly viewed favourably and is the man in possession, after all. Those who view him as part of the Pardew reign, and hence responsible for much of the current plight, should be aware that he has been operating under sufferance apparently and now has the opportunity to demonstrate that he is truly a No. 1. (please, no No. 2 jokes).
OK, those are a few personal observations. My colleagues may wish to add or to correct, but I hope that provides at least some insight into last night’s events. Overall, a good beginning, I think ………….. but really that’s your call. Please let us know what you think.

I also take the precaution of copying - come a cropper too many times, so that's a lesson learned the hard way.
However, if you get the error message, I find you can just hit 'Add your comments' again and it sends without any problem
What you must not do is to hit the back button or Back to Discussions - you will definitely lose your post and it's never recoverable.

We could get the Dave Allen tribute act "May your Goat go with You". Meant to be very good.

As a lifelong non-smoker I've no idea.
