[cite]Posted By: northstandsteve[/cite]Carlisle Away Chelsea away re DA9'S post and Bristol City in the cup was brilliant on the coach Tavern organised.
Was anyone else on here on the coach to Carlisle in May 1986, Big D(RIP), and I think 1905 was on it, we were all pissed by Dartford Tunnel, if memory serves I got picked up at Shooters Hill nick about 5am.
Oh, and I think Steve Dowman was on there as well, in fact, I think he organised the coach.

I was on it E, great day out. It was actually Steve Dowman who organised it.
Spurs away on boxing day. Can't remember the year. We won, Konch was recalled from the Spuds and played during that game and we all sung to him whilst we were kept back. Someone in the crowd got us singing 'We're dreaming of a six point christmas, with the goal posts glistening watching Charlton win away'
Whoever that bloke was where are ya now cos I honestly can't remember getting 6 points away over the Christmas period and he really got the crowd going that day.
Was a great atmosphere sitting right next to the Spuds support.
Managed to get whip lash during that game too and only noticed when i jumped up to celebrate our goal.
Poor fella behind me, bit stocky managed to misplace his foot and it went down the large gap between the seats so he fell into the back of my seat and threw me forward. Good for leg room White Hart Lane! Absolutely loved that game, the whiplash was worth it and the big fella wasn't badly hurt.

Blackpool afterwards mate, what a weekend
Now you mention Blackpool I remember I was on that coach. Went in a pub and the landlord says he owns a club and we can all go in for nothing. A great day and night but knackering.
Chelsea away in the Carling cup when we beat them on penalties. We did not stop singing all the way through. All I can remember about walking up to Stamford Bridge were all these Chelsea was running up to me saying we were going to get hammered and call me rude names. AH! when we sung "where were you when you were shit" and all the plastics shut the hell up. When Moriniho stood up to complain about something and we sung sit down Moriniho. Darren Bent's equaliser. When it went to panatlies and my Dad couldn't watch.
Blackburn and Pitchers deflected Goal, Mental night what an atmosphere we never stopped singing all evening.
Best bit was the coach getting lost on the moors above Blackburn (It's a bit wild!) and big Dave Brookes having to go into this pub packed full of Rovers fans to ask directions back to the Motorway. Fair play to them, we got back at above 5 in the morning - gits!
Too many to mention there were some seasons when every game was a buzz, the whole day out, Chelsea away,Coventry in the cup away when we come back to win,Stockport away,Villa 3-4
For me it has to be Leeds in the third round of the cup in 1993. Leeds were champions at the time and no-one gave us a prayer. We were packed into a small pen and outsang the Leeds fans all day. With 70 mins gone the unthinkable happened with Garry Nelson chipping the ball over Lukic. Cue pandemonium in the stand which was still going on when Speed equalised 60 seconds later. Unbelievable goal-line clearance by Minto in the last minute.
That day was almost matched by.........Leeds away in 2002- Parkers delicious last minute winner with only about 200 fans but the ensuing melee made it feel like 2000.
Spurs away in 1987 when David Campbell scored in the last minute following a rebound after Paul Williams knocked out a couple of Tony Parks' teeth with his inital challenge. For a while nothing happened and the ref didn't appear to signal a goal while Parks was treated. However, the scoreboard quietly flashed up 'Spurs 0, Charlton 1' after which legend has it that Paul Miller pointed out to the ref and he gave the goal! The away end was a good place to be at that moment!
The Blackburn game in '92 was also memorable, still only about 500 fans but we more than made up for the lack of numbers with the noise we made. Lee's early strike was followed up with a Leaburn pea-roller which just about made it to the back of the net. Carlo would also register the miss of the season later in the game when he somehow put the ball wide of an open goal 5 yards out.
I rememember walsall away being ace, we all started singing along to an old song that was on the tannoy, can't remember what it was, stockport was good fun too, championship promotion year, last game at the hawthorns,,,, yes we were singing' we'll never play you again' that song always comes back to haunt us. Derby away was memorable for my son failing to score a penalty against some fat bloke in a rams costume, I wont let him forget that in a hurry !
Where to start.....Palace away 1968/9 3rd round replay....Arsenal Away 4th round.....who took the North Bank! Tonbridge away early seventies, Hereford away mid seventies, Southend (twice) again mid seventies, Wolves FA Cup 76....around 6000 which was more than we were getting at home....Peterboro away 77...Brighton a few times Ipswich away early 80's another 5-6000.....Shrewsbury in the promo season...50 a side football in the car park before the game...Hull the same season when they tried it on as we left the ground ;-) Legendary Carlisle away the five official coaches joing up with three pirates on the M6....I have pictures of it somewhere...what a brilliant (long) day......having it off with Plymouth on the way back (they had been at Darlington)....the coach full of girlies as we neared Brum who got there kit off as we begged the driver to slow down so they could pass again....Fulham away, Wimbledon at Sellout...does that count? Coventry, Grimsby, Peterborough, Cambridge Bristol Rovers at Bath away early 90's Bristol away 6000+ and Man U...the 10,000...awesome stuff. Liverpool away in the 90's evening game.....bloody loads when you start to think about it
Bristo City Away cup (mental) Carlisle then Blackpool after was on that coach as well Chelsea mid 80's Man u cup Liverpool cup Brighton Ipswich in the cup Coventry in the cup Palarse Spuds in the cup early 80's Loads more tbh
Coventry in the cup Bristol City in the cup Giving in gunners a good thrashing at highbury Leeds at Brum in the playoffs A great come back at Newcastle Going up at Blackburn Blackburn when Leaburn scored
Best loop I've ever seen anyone do was ooohaaahmortimer at Port Vale, night game, Gritt equaliser in 95th Minute.
Never seen anyone hurdle a crash barrier before. . . . .
At the Blackburn away one mentioned previously I went so nuts that I thought I was having a seizure and had to go and sit down and try an breath properly!
Brighton 5-3 away win was a cracker
So was Carlisle when we went up
I think Bristol in the Cup for numbers was very good
Man City away at Maine Road in the FA Cup back in '93...
Finished 4-2 Spurs courtesy of a Steve Sedgley screamer from the edge of the box and a Naiym hat-trick. Absolutely brilliant game, brilliant atmosphere, including a couple of pitch invasions, a police on horseback corden across the pitch halfway through the second-half, Sheringham deliberately missing a penalty as to not antagonise any further trouble, followed by a coach journey home in a coach with not many windows left.
Millwall away mid 90's just nudged the grey matter....best away support for us at the Den that I can remember.....I got stuck behind that bloody pylon...one of the games at Sellout when we played Palace.....in the Holmesdale when it was all going off on the grassy bank....One of the B mob boys sending a minion off for coffee was really funny...by the time he got back they had all disappeared down the front
