I wouldn't be celebrating staying up on the last day as that would be an abject failure by the club as well as being the herald of huge cuts in the playing budget for the following season.
i would take take staying up right here right now... cos it would mean NOT going down and we've got a lot more chance of going down than going up at the moment FACT
[quote][cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]No, I still expect a lot more.

those cuts kick in if we finish anywhere other than promoted though ...... right????
[cite]Posted By: Rothko[/cite]How many games are left? Have a word with yourselves
Why ? Its a perfectly reasonable question.
In answer to the question, no, because we shouldn't even be near there come the end of the season. If we are, then whether i am angry about it or not would depend on who was in charge, and how long they had been.

Because there so far to go, and it's a trite old line, but this league is odd at the best of times. But I just can't fully join the 'rusty razor blade' group just yet
[cite]Posted By: falconwood_1[/cite]I'm aiming for the Top 2.
definitely we've turned in two good performances and got 1 point...
if we average that out over a season...
where as when we didn't play well at donny and forest we got 4 points ... so if we can just sort it all out top two could be in reach
Most definitely.I think people need to take a good look at the situation. We are in serious danger of GOING DOWN.
A highly inexperienced team(at this level) with a manager who is showing a great deal of ineptitude.
The signs are there people.
30 or 40 mins at Brum at the weekend - they could not touch us
We just need to keep that going.
Every season a team takes this division by storm with a storming second half to the season. We have the players...and we have some superb backup players too - we just need to get the confidence up a bit - starting this weekend
At the moment, yes. However the facts don’t lie, and if we keep with Mr P for much longer, I do fear the worse.
Mr Pardew’s record since taking over against Fulham 27th December 2006. (League and Cup games)
Played : 89 (20 of those games whilst we were in the Premiership)
Won: 28 (5 in the premiership)
Drawn: 25 (7 in the premiership)
Lost: 36 (8 in the premiership)
Win success rate = 31%
However since the start of this calendar year, it looks like this

Although if I am wrong I would happily settle for staying up at the end of the season

World of difference between being a realist and pessimist.
I still expect us to make play offs
I honestly feel us about to go on a run. Same players, same manager - just a change of mindset

Nevermind, we've put in some great performances recently.

Come on you REDS
However we should be doing better in this division than we are with the resources that we have.
YES
Exactly Rothko hits the nail on the head!

Take a look at the table.
No win in 7. When was the last time we kept a clean sheet??
Given the hard facts it's a perfectly reasonable question and yes I would take staying up right now.
The alternative is unthinkable.
10 games. drew 0-0 with forest
