Martin Pringle

edited November 2008 in General Charlton
Apparently Martin Pringle is now manager of Swedish women's side Kopparbergs/Goteborg. I'll make no more comment other than 'not a lot of people know that!'

I liked him - he caused havoc in defences; you just need somebody to mop up the chances he created.

Always will remember his goal against Wimbledon in our relegation season.

Dean Blackwell OG as well I think.

Thought we were going to stay up after that game. Alas.

And the solo goal away at Derby from near the halfway line.

The bloke had ability alright, just a bit lightweight and panicky in front of goal.

Shame getting taken out by that thug while on loan from us to Grimsby.
He'd only been there a few games and had set their team and fans alight.

    Never played again, I believe.

I bet they actually think he is a she, maybe he/she could be player manager! (You have to admit he did look a bit like a girl!)

He did a job for us. Tragic that he got that terrible injury. Was it against Grimsby?

That's right. I knew Grimsby were involved somehow.

Done by a Stockport no-mark who earned his wages with long throws.

I liked him and he liked us.

Not quite Prem level, but blistering pace. It was that pace which earned us the Danny Mills free kick at Villa for example.

Boy could that lad shift...one of the fastest two or three players I've ever seen in an Addicks shirt....not the greatest but an honest lad who tried his best....I'd give him a 6.5 out of 10.
