Anyone know why it costs an extra fiver to pay by credit card?

    How much does it cost?

Fans have a number of options.

99p for four-day trial (fans pay 99p for four days of access to CAFCTV. If fans do not cancel their subscription within those four days, they will automatically move onto the monthly £3.99 subscription rate)
    £3.99 monthly subscription
£34.99 annual subscription (for 12 months when paying by direct debit)
£39.99 annual subscription (for 12 months when paying by credit card)

I looked at that, but the £34.99 is UK Users Only.
  • Just to let all mac users know...

I have just signed up for 1 month and it definitely DOESN'T work on macs.

My mac has pretty much every plugin you can possibly have installed on it and I never usually have any problems.
Thought i might be able to get it to work somehow
So it seems it's just PC compatible for now.

    GUTTED.

Every link click I on just sends you straight back to the introduction video...you can't actually sign up???
Even the one on the video pop up screen(Sign Up Here) just restarts the video????[/quote]

went to the My Account link at the bottom of the screen, managed to register and, eventually, found the payments section- though received two e-mails confirming membership- hopefully only one debit!!

    Thanks for the warning mate.

Understandable really, what with it being 1995. Hopefully once Macs have been around for a bit longer people will start making things compatible with them...

Not sure, i bought it new about 9 months ago so would that make it Intel?

I presume you mean there is a way of making my laptop run a version of Windows?
If so, can you send me a link of where i can find out more?

    Cheers mate

Dansmudge, your Mac will be Intel if you bought it 9 months ago. Take a look at Parallels to see how you can run Windows – but note that you'll need to buy Windows XP or Vista as well as Parallels. You can also use "Boot Camp" to install Windows directly on the Mac and I think it comes free with OSX Leopard – but you would still have to buy a copy of Windows.

I'm out of luck though. Mine's a 3.5-year old G4. Been wanting to replace it for a while now.
  • I signed up today. It looks OK. Hopefully everything will work for the game on Saturday.

Even with the Flip4Mac plugin it doesn't work on a Mac.
If you don't want to spend money for Parallels or VMware, use the excellent VirtualBox (http://www.virtualbox.org/) instead.
I haven't tried the CAFC TV site with it yet, will check the site tonight to see if it works.

  • I signed up last night - did the trial thingy just in case and it appears to be working. Lets see tomorrow.
  • Cheers for the advice everyone, I've currently got QatarNapsy talking me through the Parallels/XP option so fingers crossed it'll work.
