[cite]Posted By: Addick Addict[/cite]On the subject of Redknapp I didn't hear any post match comments about how "My Mrs Sandra would have scored that" when Pavlova missed that sitter. Maybe she's not that good or perhaps he can't see any mileage or money in publicly shaming the Russian.
The difference between Bent and Pav and their two misses - Bent went missing and contributed nothing afterwards, Pav kept going and scored at the death.
I understand Bent was "injured" last night with a groin strain. Dont know how the f**k he can get a groin strain when he barely made a run of note against Portsmouth.

[cite]Posted By: Chirpy Red[/cite]Judas? Oh grow up mate!
Defoe scored a very good goal to put the tie into perspective.
Chirpy - I was just not talking about us when I said Judas. Defoe just follows the money which is probably why he joined Redknapp (He of "I'm here to stay" fame) again. Not everyone's motivated by that and some of us like to see a bit of loyalty which is why I would never call Benty a Judas. I bet you Defoe's kissed his shirt at CAFC, West Ham, the Spuds (twice) and Portsmouth and every time taken in those gullible supporters. He's not even a decent footballer.
Bent is a class striker - anyone who knows anything about football should be able to see this. his goal record is the obvious clue there people.
yes he missed a sitter. but you have to be in the right place to get a chance to miss it. it happes to all strikers at some point. Owen will miss a goal and its not talked about. But everyone seems to want Bent to fail because of the large fee.
If Harry wants to let him rot i would love to see him go and play for Villa. him teamed with their already potent attacking force would be scary.

Why not pizz off to White Hart Lane then Mr W.....you'll not be missed.
DeFoe is a most unpleasant and thoroughly selfish individual and to many of us he WAS a classic example of a footballing Judas....a lot of folk invested in Valley Gold with the sole object of attracting and nurturing young players at the club....we treated him very well indeed and gave him the very best of what we had at the time but he (and his mother) showed us not a shred of thanks or loyalty for all that was done for him by scarpering at the first opportunity.Something he seems to do with alarming regularity I may add.
But then again you are such a know all and enjoy winding folk up almost every time you post (it's almost without fail the reason you post on here which I find very sad)...I frankly don't know why you bother...it's boring and thoroughly disrespectful of fellow Addicks!
And you have the front to tell Addick Addict to grow up......FFS!!
What's eating you fella?
I find you unprovoked personal attack rather distressing.
However, I will not take the mater further if you publish an apology.
I would like to see some evidence of my continual winding up of people; I think you have the wrong person.
Bent 12 from 19 starts plus 10 subs
Defoe 11 from 25 starts plus 2 subs
Pavlova 11 from 18 starts plus 5 subs
Benty has clearly had an awful time of it when compared to Redknapp's wonder strikers. So much so perhaps "the master transfer wheeler dealer" would let us have him on a "free"?

Oi!
There'll be no slagging off of Mr Bent on here! Leave that to the Spurs boards! :-)
It is interesting though how a few spurs fans have said how Bent doesn't run much or make many runs for them, because for us he never stopped running...different tactics, or not the same effort?

...........
A year ago when he wasn't scoring goals then Darren Bent was a failure to Spurs fans. When he started scoring goals he was a hero to Spurs fans, then when he misses one goal he's back to being a failure. Fickle fans or what?
I can though understand DB being disenchanted with life at WHL, he was signed and expected to play, preferring at that time a much lower wage than West Ham were offering. He then spends much time on the bench/in the stands getting a few minutes here and there and the odd start, all the time he is patient and never slags the club off or gets his agent to try and provoke a move by dropping stories in the press etc or going on strike as Bellamy and Parker did when other clubs were offering a decent salary increase to their already inflated salaries. Then he gets his chance after Defoe and Keane chase the cash elsewhere, he scores some goals, some of which are under a new manager who then tries to trade him to West Ham and then slags him off in the press after missing a sitter. Again the one voice we don't hear in this is Darren Bent's. A true professional in the proper sense of the word in an increasingly mercenary sport.
I'd have him back at the Valley tomorrow, if not sooner.
He scored goals for them, but they were used to players like Berbatov and Keane that offer things Bent doesn't.
They'll say things like he's got a poor touch, but that was never an issue when he was here because we played to his strengths, built a team around him and he usually played with confidence. Don't think he always had the same confidence at Spurs.

Yep, very lucky, very lucky indeed!
And for me Defoe is everything i despise in modern football, flash, odious little shit who values money ahead of anything else. Good player however.

Darren Bent - gentleman and footballer!

I hope Bent goes to Villa as I think O'Neill would be a great influence on him. Harry is a mug IMO and Spurs will go nowhere with him.
Any chance of a season long loan with spurs paying all his wages. ;-)
BENTY COME SAVE US PLEASE!
Bent and Dickson up front how different they would be lol.
lol :-)
IGNORE
How slow are you?!
Ha ha was reading about ipswich when I changed link was looking at ha ha ha confused meself
Bruce won't like players with a-hole ego's so should do well at Sunderland...
He's the sort that deserves and needs to play regularly and if he has a great season could get into the England squad for the WC.
Still got a soft spot for Sunderland after the play off final so really pleased he's gone there.
He was the kishishev of Tottenham. Always the scapegoat with no justification whatsoever.
