Is that you quoted in the SLP?
If so, I'd say two things:
1. You've spent months and years denouncing those not showing full support and now you're walking out of games before half time. Something of a radical swing around given your positive posts in the period running up to the game and maybe a bit hypocritical in the face of those you have criticised for not offering 100% support.
2. As a supporters representattive, do you feel that you can adequately represent the support if you fail to don't watch even half of the game because it is not up to the standard that you expect?
I'm sorry, but I think that supporters - and particularly elite supporters representatives support the team. They shouldn't "have better things to do" at 1540 on a home game Saturday. You can give the team stick, but for me walking out is not an option.

Just for a change. . .
Anyone got a link.
Personally I didn't and wouldn''t walk out but Rothko is entitled to do so if he feels that way. My feeling is that he was unhappy about the way the crowd were reacting as Curb it said.
Don't see it as hypocritical or in any way undermining him as a fans forum members. Plenty of other people left early as well. Not my choice but that was their decision.
I'm Rothko and so is my wife
a. He couldn't stand listening to the people he wants to and put himself forward to represent
b. He is a HUGE Stuart Little fan
We need to know......
:)
Never seen you in the East stand. Do you actually go to games at all? : - )
Mi-ow !!
We're having rice pudding today cos it's Wednesday and we always have rice pudding on Wednesday.
Oh..... someone just told me it's Tuesday....bother!
it was for about 500 or more at Blackpool last season... and deserved as well, one of the most surreal moments in watching Charlton, everyone looking sideways at each other in disbelief and then filing out back for the town centre... I remember the feeling of revulsion then, can never criticise those who'd rather do something else with the last half an hour than watch 11 players who might as well have been for the hour/10 games (delete as applicable) beforehand
can you tell us why you were one of the first people to sign up to the 'Pardew out' petition - and then a day later you quietly deleted your name?
I'm not getting at you. I would be genuinely interested to hear what it was that made you change your mind...(apologies if you have already explained elsewhere, it's hard to keep up with every single thread on a board with such busy traffic).
thanks.
I left before half time & rather than walk past him (because I would have done something I would later regret) I walked past poor old NSS mate, who just looked like he was going to throw himself off the Upper North.
I stood in the vometry (spelling) talking to the steward rather than go back & only went back when I'd calmed down & when half time arrived.
I am truly loosing faith with football supporters.
Especially at the end of the game when they boo the likes of Josh Wright & give Weaver a big round of applause?????? Then clap the opposition off too????
Sorry, but the worlds gone mad.
It won't be CAFC or the manager or the poor performances that stop me going. But the fact that I can't move away from the people who I feel don't deserve to be there in the first place. NSS hit the nail on the head when my hubby had a go at his mate................you just can't get up & move away from those who you don't agree with in all seater stadiums. And that will be the death of me.
Sometimes I'm glad I'm a girly. Or I would have a FBO by now :-(
Err cause I got swept along with it all, took a second to think about and changed my mind.
I'm a leaning Pardew out, not 100% convinced he should go (probably 75/25 at the moment), but don't think the petition is the right thing at the moment, and fully aware that football has a way of proving you wrong. We could win the next 3 (unlikely I know) and be close to the play offs and Pards might be in peoples good books. It's the fickleness of being a football supporter.
I think the chances of winning the next three games are so slender that we shouldn't take the risk (11 months since back-to-back wins), but that's just my personal opinion and I hope I am proved wrong. If I am, I promise I will be the first one on here to say 'well done for keeping faith, you were right and I was wrong'. Never will humble pie have tasted grander, should it come to pass...
sadly the guys i sit near don't ever clap or cheer or encourage but they were wetting themselves with excitement waiting for the first goal to go in so they could boo! shame they can't show the same kind of passion when singing valley floyd road or other song, as they have never joined in with any. I know how you feel. I know people that left or moved on saturday and an old guy in front of us nearly had a heart attack trying to make people stop shouting pardew out. i can't understand how people have sat there in silence for 5 years suddenly spring to life with the booing reflex.
Though the fact I dont agree with it would not stop me defending the right of those who want to boo. They pays their money they takes their choice, we cant all be happy clappy optimists, not that I was ever happy clappy, far too old school for that.
There seem to be a number of supporters who will brook no dissent from fellow supporters. It's a broad church and you should not take criticism of individual players, managers, even the board (though almost no-one is with that) as a personal slight on your own views. LIVE LOVE LAUGH AND BE HAPPY, or in the absence of any of that, ala saturday, do what we did, leave at half time and go to the pub.
But at the end of the day it is not life or death, despite what others have said, relax and enjoy, or wait for better times.
But I'm 39?
The internet article doesn't have the interview, only in the published paper.
To the best of my knowledge the fans forum reps were specifically chosen from season ticket fans, as reps of supporters in the ground. Let's put it this way, had there been any kind of election I'm suspecting that "I really like Charlon, but leave the ground before halftime if they're losing" would probably not sit well in your campaign profile, right? If you'd try taking a little peek out of the window of your ivory tower, you'd maybe empathise with why some of the "represented" supporters feel let down.
If you feel let down then fair enough that is your view and you have every right to hold it. I don't feel let down. That's my view.
Fortunately there are 5 other reps on the forum plus the CASDA rep and the Overseas rep. One of the beauties of such a system is that if you don't feel that one is representing you personally you can contact one of the others.
