  • Agree Valley...any number of factors might have come into play...we are not privy to these details, so we can't comment on this oneway or the other can we?

  • your post is writ heavy with sarcasm and the "another master stroke" comment is pointing the finger of blame at the club

At first sight Powell choosing Derby over us looks to be a setback and in terms of our options it is. However his choice is likely to be based on the level of commitment we were prepared to make.

Fortune’s return from injury is a factor but Primus is the key. I feel we will want to keep Primus (if we can) for the season. If so Powell becomes 4th choice. I doubt we felt we could commit to Powell until the Primus situation was clarified.

Derby may offer him better options in terms of commitment and indeed cash as we are clearly not flush with cash.
  • Salad its just an opinion, in which everyone is intitled to, there is no sarcasm involved, just stating perhaps the club should go back to how we used to do our business, keeping it quiet until the deal is down, rather than stories on the website, or the media, if deal is not done it simply sends out messages that prehaps the club is suffering or there are problems behind the scenes, once again that is just an opinion

  • Salad i wouldnt deam that as sarcasm surely that is stating a fact,
  • According to SSN has now been released by Derby.

Youga & Hudson aside I think most people would agree he is the worst defender we have seen at the Valley this season.

What price he gets a deal till the end of the season?
  • I sincerely hope not, he looked as though he was struggling even when he played for our reserves a while ago. Even Gray scored when he played against him.
  • Get in there Parky you know you want to :)

  • Just joined MK Dons - that's them fooked :-)
  • I was seriously nervous opening this thread, thank goodness it is not us. worst centre back I have ever seen play a game at the Valley.
  • I had severe palpatations as well. Thought he was pretty piss poor at Palace. I don't think Hudson, Fortune and Ward played too badly last season; indeed the partnerships they formed were the best in the team last year. But when he played for Derby it was the worst center half display I've seen at the Valley. Gray dropped into the hole at will with Powell nowhere near him but trying to get there, and any time Gray jumped next to him he couldn't challenge if Gray couldn't win the ball Powell either let it through him or bounce. Absolutely appalling.
