[cite]Posted By: carly burn[/cite]Worrying times. It's bad enough we're up for sale let alone banding it around to the press.
Smacks of desperation!
What else can he say. "We went thru due dilligence last month but we're not up for sale".
People would moan if he said we weren't as we "lacked ambition" and "should be knocking over doors" to find investors but if we say we are it's "desperation."
I've always been very supportive of RM, but I agree that it would have been easier to say nothing. These deals don't come out of the blue - there are networks and poeple in the know, so as long as they know we are open to offers, the rest of the world doesn't need to.
Starting to think we're as bad as Newcastle. Oh no, sorry, worse now - at least they have a caretaker manager who knows how to win two games in a row...

Why say anything.Gets the media in a frenzy and supporters all pent up.Has he learned nothing?
The press asked him a question about a story in the press about South African investors which he denied. Calming things down rather than getting the media in a frenzy, IMHO.
It's up to us as supporters if we get all pent up. As I said if the Club says nothing it is compared to Stalinist Russia and it's "why don't they tell us anything?"
Mike Ashley would probaly be keen on us if he could find a buyer for the geordies sad thing is tho i dont think anyone will buy them so he will be stuck..
