CHARLTON legend Steve Brown has revealed he would love to manage the club one day - but insists Alan Pardew is still the right man to turn the Addicks’ fortunes around.
[cite]Posted By: jimmymelrose[/cite]I am against Pardew being sacked. I think that when you're going through tough times you need to show faith in the manager.
I appreciate that it's very difficult to feel that way when you're going to see the rubbish that they're playing.
My advice to you all would be to give somes games a miss, do something else on the Saturday afternoon for a few games.
Don't force the club to make a decision we may later regret.
As an overseas fan who recently came to a couple of games, I think that when you go to the games you get caught up in it all and begin to lose sight of what's really important. You get angry and demand action. We need to keep a clear head. If Pardew goes, can we be 100% sure that his replacement will be better? If he stays are you sure that it would really be such a catastrophe? I think that he can still sort it out, despite the rubbish I saw.
That is how I feel Jimmy. An replacement might give us a bump but there is an awful lot of games to go, ask Leicester fans. Also as an overseas fan I do feel more and more disenfranchised but I don't blame Pardew for that, but I do Waggott and Chappell.
