  • i forgot all about gritty until you said that Len
  • I can't imagine that seeing the same faces in charge would motivate the players anyhow.

We need someone that is going to stop us getting relegated...

Oh no! Did that car outside the ground with the numberplate "DB 1" belong to Dave Basset? :-)

I'm off for a lie down and some crap Saturday night TV with a cuppa, today has left me numbly exhausted.
  • [cite]Posted By: mart77[/cite]The more observant of you might have seen how strapped for cash the club are, by the staff shortages around the ground. We haven't got money to bring in new coaches/players and if we do find some cash it would probably worry me more than anything else as we would be spending money we simply haven't got. Maybe we should have a whip round!

I'm afraid that relegation is unlikely to help the ol' coffers either.

[cite]Posted By: jimmymelrose[/cite]He wanted to leave to try to better himself - and failed
Now he doesn't have a job and he must believe that he can make us at least a little better than we are at the moment.
Then he can try to move on to better things again -we can help him out as much as he can help us out.
And besides, don't you think he'll be hurting a little seeing us in the bottom three? He made us who we were and won't like seeing that undone. He could straighten us out short-term and leave us in a healthier position for a new man.

Great post...I believe Curbs is hurting deep down seeing where we are......
  • Nah, this situation calls for the original Houdini himself - where's Lennie when you need him?
  • Dowies available.

    lol
  • If Pards goes and that is by no means certain, putting in a rookie, however decent his record was as a player or even reserve coach would be a huge mistake in my opinion. We need somebody who can put some backbone into the team sharpish and liven them up.

Agreed but unfortunately they don't sell people like that at Makro's.
