• Curbishley is way above our standard frankly. I know Len Glover has said - Pardew is as good as we can expect for this standard. I agree. If Curbs would come back, he would save us - and grind out the necessary results this season. Whether Pardew can do it, I expect so, but I am not sure. He think he could get us back on the 'crest of a wave' but, if it gets tougher, I am not so sure.
•
[cite]Posted By: Steve Dowman[/cite]I know a lot of you won't say it as you wanted him to go. But I would bite his hand off if he offered to come back. He was Mr Charlton for so many years and took us from where we are now to the top half of the prem. Do you think zabeel would of knocked is back if we were boring mid table of the prem Charlton rather than heading to third tier like now? Get him back now and be patient. When we end up 15th in prem then appreciate that. Or remember times like now or 20 years ago and where we were. WE WANT CURBS BACK.
I have to agree. Clearly Pards must go and I haven't heard any names mentioned that would do a better job than Curbs. The decline of CAFC since he left makes it clear just how good he is. He would stablise us and probably get us promoted within a couple of years. What's wrong with that?

Who would be better? Lets have some names if there are good, young managers out there.
• Being realistic and knowing we have feck all cash I'd go for any of Dave Penney (Darlington), Mark Stimson (Gillingham) or Nigel Adkins (Scunthorpe United).

Failing that I'll do it for £50K a year! Not that I've got any qualifications!!!! Would that matter though! ;-)
• And yes....they're all British!
